Not sure about banned. I didn't ban him at least - I only deleted his begging topic. The forum's all about free speech and the rules here are quite liberal when it comes to this kind of behavior.

i won't expose him (the OP) but i know for a fact he has comments on page 700+ in the Altcoin section.
I don't think deleting his new shell account means much to him..

people can see i tried to offer some quick basic AND sincere advice way back to the guys shell account..
after that i got a PM saying, "hey i am so and so"
he is no noob.. quite the opposite
he's been here a LOT longer than me lol

i was VERY surprised to see his topic deleted for that specific reason though.
and i don't think Mods/Staff are that unfair if you think about it.. if had to judge i would say they are lenient.
and i am glad they are for one reason !
some of us use ONE single account and some of us use many accounts so when it comes to accountability
if i get banned and i have been like 2x i think before.. i am gone and not back till my ban wears off.
and for account cloners they are back in seconds flat.. evading any repercussions of their behavior.

i know it can suck getting your topic deleted or being banned and you sincerely didn't see it coming or a good reason for it though.

I believe that the OP didn't generalise, he gave an instance of one that he believed to be useless/worthless

On another note, regarding the donate button in the nav bar: that's no different to any other growing forum.

As for the 'no begging', well those are simply house rules. You come into someone's house then you need to go by their rules. Starting a topic and dropping lines requesting donations for oneself is just terrible. Not quite as bad as requesting it for a cause then using it for yourself, that definitely worse.

Cunts are not useless.  Without them the human race would die out.   

The donate button on these forums is designed to help keep these forums running, although the site is sell pretty much able to support itself from sales of advertisements; I believe it makes close to 100 BTC per month, and I assume that it doesn't cost that much to run the site.

Oh my god...i never have seen somebody beeing that disrespectfull. You are lucky to still be on this forum, i'd delete your account and not allow you to come back with that IP ever again. You should start with an easy therapy of calming down a bit. There is a nice way to solve issues, and don't jump with a topic out here if you can solve your problems by contacting mods team or maybe even theymos.

I like to keep people informed of what rules they (accidentally or not) broke to prevent them from doing it again. Guess that backfires sometime .

I love your patience mprep. Redirections for trashed begging threads are useless and unnecessary for me.

Gotta love it when the bleating, entitled, shameless and self righteous like to cherry pick "rules" when they obviously have not read said rules.

I am a forum moderator, if you haven't noticed.

The forum provides a place of discussion, donations for it is used for improving it and building new forum software. You do nothing but complain, scream, beg and spam-post everywhere. As I mentioned previously, charity for good causes if you have some serious rep is OK, asking for funds because you want some free Bitcoin here isn't.
