This seems obvious, and I don't want to talk about it somehow lest a slew of other projects come out doing it, but I don't understand why more people are not trying to use block rewards to incentivize certain behaviors other than hoarding coins or hash power. Steemit is a good example, and NEM's PoI has elements of it, but the potential of this innovation is far far from being unlocked.
