Hi all . Q. Are there any exchanges ( that accept fiat transactions) , that do not require I.D :such as passport /driving licence etc, as i currently don,t have these.  i just got stuck with this issue ,when opening a new account with Bitstamp . I'm getting the feeling i might have to get my passport sorted out!  B.T.W .....i'm trying to sort this , so i can sell some BTC ( not now of course)  Cheesy Thanks if you can advise ..

If you are looking to sell, then I'd definitely go with a P2P option of some sort.

Obviously Localbitcoins would be your first option. However, just make sure that you do check on the reputation of the buyer before you sell your coins, and also ensure that you're getting a relatively safe payment method (For example, paypal is not safe as it is completely reversible). You can also trade p2p with a range of users on this forum, however, the rates are generally very bad. Other options like Paxful, Hodlhodl and bisq can also be considered.

Though if you want PM, Advcash etc. go to bestchange.com. There is a list of them that are generally anonymous. Selling BTC anonymously is much easier than buying, so you do have a lot of options.

Thanks, I see. There is no verification for outgoing transfers in fiat because they don't do, but instead, they have the possibility to send payments to some payment processors like WebMoney, perfect money, etc.
Livecoin is fine, I have seen a lot worse than this. I trade a coin there since it has better volume than cryptopia (for the coin I need to trade) I have never got any problem, all working as advertised it's all I need.
Otherwise, Kraken is awesome I do admit

@Potato Chips

Are you sure LocalBitcoin doesn't need your ID verified to use the site now? Because I remember reading topics here and there about it. And about Livecoin, do you know if we need our ID verified for withdrawing to our bank account? Or only fiat deposits? I am currently using kraken but it doesn't hurt to have an alternative in case something goes wrong

Apparently, the verification is only needed for the users who plan to use bank transfers for placing the deposit

If I had to choose between Kraken and Livecoin, I would take Kraken. Livecoin doesn't look too professional.

As for Localbitcoins, I believe It's not necessary when you first sign up and start buying/selling but once you reach a certain threshold, you'll be asked to do the verification.

The thing is this - most of the fiat exchanges are indeed going to ask you for identification papers.

All the ones that do not require stringent verification are going to charge you extremely high fees, or have extremely high spreads. For example, Virwox. It's convenient, and it's anonymous, but be prepared to pay up to 15-20% extra or even more above market prices.

For that reason, if you are getting your IDs in the near future, I'd probably suggest waiting till then.

Otherwise, Localbitcoins and Paxful would be my go to places to trade because they are P2P and have a ton of payment methods available, and inbuilt escrow protection. Especially paxful, since LBC recently has instated some new ID requirements after you hit "significant volume".

I've used virwox before when bitcoin's price was quite cheaper and OmegaStarScream's correct the fees too high but if you don't have any option, you can try it.

Livecoin.net doesn't require verification unless you're going to deposit via bank transfer however the downside is this

I have been notified (please, see the "The Customer liabilities" section of the"Customer agreement"), that in order to be able to create tickets and to recover an access to my account (in case the account is inaccessible), I have to verify my account first. *

If you're comfortable with trading with other people, I suggest doing so because you'll eliminate any third party fees that way.

I'm seconding this! You could try to use localbitcoins to search for a buyer/seller and contact them directly. (I suggest using reversible payment method or trading in person)
You could also find someone here: Currency exchange (transact with trusted members or use an escrow)

We have Virwox.com but the fees are high and the amount you could buy in a certain period of time very low. Or, you could use ATMs, you could always change phone number so you don't have to do a passport verification but once again, most of them have high fees compared to exchanges like Coinbase, etc. If you're comfortable with trading with other people, I suggest doing so because you'll eliminate any third party fees that way.
