thanks a lot for sharing , I really appreciate it so much
will try then and hopefully everything will work , but now I'm still waiting for a loan to end in order to request the withdrawal so I will open a new account when I got my withdrawal
BTW do you recommend any specific VPN , or should you all do the work ?

Well the one I use on occasion is the securitykiss tunnel since they advertised on the forum a long time ago if I recall or was it after the wikileaks leak and people created a list of recommended privacy apps.
Anyways I presume that as long as the VPN is consistent with the location and privacy, you should be fine it's not too hard to find a few dedicated VPN's that take Bitcoin nowadays so best of luck ^^.

hey guys , I want to know if you have a good experience using Poloniex with a VPN
cause Poloniex recently froze my account and when I asked their support about the reason they said that they recently stopped accepting members from country , but they will allow me to make a one time full withdrawal
please share your experiences and opinions , maybe I can trade again in Polo

Keep the VPN consistent and you will not have an issue, although with all the lag they have had recently I doubt they really care.
Sometimes I forget and leave a VPN on and it just sends me a message about the IP changing and to do something if their is an issue with this in an email if you hop out of a regional area to much that may be a flag though so try to be consistent at least in your withdrawal location ^^. And avoid using an IP address from a restricted area like Washington DC Tongue if your using an American proxy don't worry Syria and Washington relations are both banned equally. https://poloniex.com/communications/2017.04.07/

Hello,

This email is to notify you of a successful login to your Poloniex account from an IP address not previously associated with this account.

Username/email: xxxx
IP Address: xxxx.x.xx.x.x

If you do not recognize this login, you should freeze your account immediately and contact support.

Sincerely,

The Poloniex Team

they did that to me a long time ago and i simply moved on to the better exchange called bittrex Wink
and now i am happy, specially these days that Poloniex is screwing their users by fakely being under DDoS and dump on their orders themselves while bittrex is up and functional and fast.

i couldn't withdraw my balance though, but since it was small amount i never bothered to whine about it to support and i simply gave up.

Not a good idea. They will discover you are using a VPN and lock your account. Probably best to just get your money out.

have you done that before ?? I mean yes in theory I shouldn't do that but that's why I'm asking about others experiences
I want to know if others tried to use poloniex in a restricted area , and if that worked or not
a worst case scenario story would be great too  Grin

Polo has so many security issues to deal with. They are just so big and have a huge target painted on their back. Can you imagine the mitigation efforts it takes to keep simple script kiddies, booters and $5 stressors at bay. Nevermind if someone actually engineered a successful large scale attack.

I couldn't handle working in their NOC.

May I ask for your country?

I used VPN for Polo, you should be prepared for getting your withdrawal "awaiting approval" for some days, but otherwise no problem.

it's Syria , but it seems that they won't deal with Syrians anymore and yes I'm expecting a huge delay in the withdrawal cause contacting support took me 10 days  Smiley

I used VPN in the past for accessing Poloniex. The VPN was OkayFreedom and everything goes fine.

If you will used that for withdrawal purposes it must be done in a single login with the VPN. As reconnection will changed your IP to another country in which Polo might detect. Better be sure than regret later.

I can make a withdrawal now without VPN since they have my funds , but I'm asking if it's safe to create a new account and use a VPN to start trading again

thanks for sharing guys
