If you are sure the subscription is of no benefit to you, neither does it give you the desired entertainment, you should stop the subscription and use the money for something else, and it does not even have to be BTC. Take note that this is not about satellite television being a problem, but that you do not need it and whatever payments you are making regularly that is of no importance to you should be stopped, in order for you to save up money and use it for more important things.

I think that it is a wise choice of thought to consider reducing the amount of wasted time on same old movies or excess of channels that one may hardly get to see because of, perhaps a very busy schedule with work or other endeavors that requires attention, mostly the family.

The first step to activate this good thought OP, is to setup the cold wallet and get a safe place preped up to save your seed phrases.
Another would be to be dedicated and discipline in keeping to this, the wife would love such a brilliant idea and would support to make it successful.

Lastly, research on the best investment strategy and coins to invest in beforehand, as this would save one the troubles of having to learn from a bad experience from investment that went haywire due to market trends and its seasons.

Underestimate- nothing
For almost 5 years, I haven't had any TV connection. Using smart TV through the Internet is better; I don't need to pay any extra TV subscription bills. Because almost everything is available on the Internet and most of our local channels have online broadcasts, For kids, there are a lot of YouTube cartoons, which is enough for them. I don't have much time to watch TV or use my mobile to watch movies, etc. during free time. So I think your decision to invest in Bitcoin instead of a TV subscription is more appropriate.
Recently I had this discussion with some one about subscribing to gotv or Dstv about how they dont show recent films and they keep adding money the only thing I enjoy from my gotv is football and music the rest is zero. But another thing again is that if I want to subscribe to either Netflix or anyone it might be cheaper watching it always will consume a lot of data so in both ways they have their advantage and disadvantages and what annoys me most is when their is no electricity your subscription will waste or if you travel its of no use except if you want to watch on your mobile phone. Maybe downloading and watching later not that bad. The problem is no enough time to even watch movies. I think the TV providers need to work something out very soon instead of increasing money always.

That will be a good one OP if you have a means of reducing your expenses on TV subscription and channel most of it into bitcoin investment. The problem with TV subscription is the method in which money is being wasted without using the service, they are not ‘pay as you watch’ method. Whether you watch or you don’t, you’ll have to pay for full subscription for a limited days depending on the package you’re going for. Most of the shows now on TV can be accessed online, you can reduce cost by only watching them online when you’re free instead of wasting money on subscribing full without having time to watch them.
I feel like you don’t need to deprive yourself the fun of watching tv just to invest in bitcoin, it’s  more of saying you want to starve yourself to raise enough capital to invest. They are daily expenses we can’t run away from. If you need to invest in Bitcoin it’s either you already have the money  saved somewhere or you have the money ready to invest.  If you have to save make sure you remove your monthly bills what ever is left you can decide to save it or invest with it.
Even with the dstv being boring, it’s still needful for the weekend for the football lovers, it can’t be boring for those that have their favorite show showing on the cable. It’s more the same as buying data for you phone, cause you need data to access the internet and to get that data you will need money to pay for it. If you cut back and look at the amount you spend on internet subscriptions for a month, you would want to use the money to invest, but no !! Because you actually need the data to surf the internet. In essence is that money for investment should be made ready and even if it’s not ready you don’t have to rush it. Bitcoin is going no where they is no late comer investing in bitcoin .

Given the increasing cost of TV subscriptions in my country like GOTV, DSTV, etc. I often find myself watching the same movies every month. Sometimes, I can't even watch them due to a lack of power supply, making me feel like I'm wasting my money. So, I've had an idea: what if I were to invest the money I usually spend on my GOtv subscription, which often goes unused, into Bitcoin? Many people pay for these subscriptions but aren't satisfied with the content. I'm just thinking out loud, but by diverting the funds from TV subscriptions into Bitcoin, I believe I could potentially achieve greater satisfaction.
I will say it's a choice, but just imagine you are at home and bored doing noting with no TV to watch. How are you going to feel? Everything is not just about investing in bitcoin, I cant stop entertaining myself because I want to invest in bitcoin. If you can survive without subscriptions, it's fine, but to be honest, life will be kind of boring to me, and if you have kids, then it won't really make sense because they will want to watch cartoons, and I also prefer watching football at home. I wont discomfort myself just because I want to invest. I have the amount that I do use to invest in bitcoin, and I also have the amount i do use to take care of other necessary things.

If you end up using your TV subscription money to invest in bitcoin, won't you get bored at home? and I am sure your attention will always be on your investment. If you are always thinking about your investment, then you won't be able to hold it for the long term. Any slight increase in the bitcoin price will push you to sell it, so after investing, you need other things to shift your attention from your investment.

The package I do is Gotv Supa which is about 6400 every month. I'm thinking of reducing my package to a lower one like  Gotv Jinga which is about 2250 for the sake of the kids so they can watch their favorite cartoon and I  get to save 4150 amount into Bitcoin.
If it will be okay with you, then you are free to do that, it's your decision to make, but don't do things that will affect you because you want to invest in bitcoin. Bitcoin investment should be done with the amount you won't be using for a long period of time. When investing in bitcoin, always have some amounts to have fun with. If you keep on depriving yourself of some things because you want to invest in bitcoin, for how long will you do that because nobody knows when the bull run will start.

That's is a very brilliant idea, but only if your decision will be okay by everyone in the family, because one thing I will like you to know is that while trying to sort for funds to invest, never you underestimate the power of family, that few hours of quality time spent with family members (i.e wife/husband and children), as it plays a bigger role more than anything in this world. Henceforth, in whatever we do, let's always remember to put family satisfaction as our top priority.

With 4150 invested monthly in Bitcoin, it will literally go a long way, only if you can be consistent and not make excuses, because in a year, at least you should be having 4150 x 12 = 49,800, and only of you can continue this in 5years time, then that should be a whooping 249,000, which is quite a good sum of money to start with.

i was confused why this was such a hard decision when it looks like an obvious one until i reached the end part

i was gonna say this is obviously a good idea because who needs tv these days when you can basically watch everything on the internet through your phone but then you mentioned kids whom i think shouldn’t be spending unnecessary time on the internet just to be entertained

on the other hand, kids shouldn’t also spend too much time consuming content maybe have them focus on learning or playing with toys or outside instead so this is a win-win situation i would say

you definitely have a smart tv, if it's just for your child's entertainment you can use youtube kids and it's free (use premium for ad-free but paid) it's much more worth it than paying for a tv subscription which provides almost the same content as provided by youtube kids, even youtube kids is better.

you can use the subscription money to invest in bitcoin as you planned and you can use the DCA method to invest regularly. this plan is much more worth it than paying a tv subscription fee every month.

That is a very good idea to save money to invest towards Bitcoin, base on that, many nations are facing economy challenge's and is good to plan ahead for not being a part of hardship that many people are facing today and even in the future time, which Bitcoin investors that invest ahead won't be a part of hardship that most people are facing, and Bitcoin is created as a digital assets financial freedom service. As long you have Bitcoin, the sky is your starting point.

People still watch TVs? I mean there's probably a lot of other options via the internet if accessible, probably cheaper as well.

Anyway on the topic of subscriptions, it's actually the number one thing you should avoid when trying to save up or invest, at least from my view anyway. It's a money sinker. I've tended to stray away from it and try to find alternative options if possible. Most of said subscriptions are in the area of being optional anyway and nothing close to being a necessity (or even if so, only a small part of the overall total). Congrats on deciding to invest, at least you're starting with something.

You can use the time you spend on television for other things, too. I'm not saying you shouldn't watch TV at all, but if you're watching too much TV, you're wasting your time. I think it's a good decision since what you want to do is cancel a subscription or switch to a subscription with a lower fee and invest the remaining amount in Bitcoin. Sometimes, when investing, it is a good option to do it regularly, regardless of the amount we invest, so that it becomes a habit.

You can think the same about not only TV subscriptions but also many other subscriptions that we do not need and spend unnecessarily. What you should not forget is that sometimes subscriptions add fun to our lives and help us pass our time. I say invest, but don't give up on your pleasures.

First, we must do what is necessary to have a good day and at the same time, we must allocate a certain share for our investment. One cannot exist without the other. I think it's best to take them both together.

You should have done that a long time ago. Who watches TV using a cable connection or subscriptions that you've mentioned these days when you can easily access almost everything you can watch on TV on the internet? Most LED TVs these days support Wi-Fi connections and can easily be connected to the internet and you can use YouTube, or any other app to watch and access all the content that you like on the go, without even having to worry about power going out or anything as you can continue watching your favorite content from where you were interrupted due to power or anything else.

Even kids won't need a subscription to watch their favorite shows and cartoons, etc., since they are also available online and you can just play their favorites on YouTube, or you can download their favorite movies and shows and put them in a portable USB stick that you can connect with your TV and play them for the kids watch.

Bitcoin Bottom was at $15.4k
TV and other sources of entertainment come under basic necessity of your life. Do not cut those to invest in Bitcoin. You do not want to sacrifice the necessities of your daily life to get rich with Bitcoin. That's not how it's gonna work mate. Better prefer to generate more sources of income, and save/cut on other expenses. Calculate and divide your income properly, that would be the most optimal solution I guess.

Even if you think that habit is a waste, switching it to investing in bitcoin is a pretty good choice. As before, I know some are mentioned on the forum

- I quit smoking and buy Bitcoin every week
- Community research: To drink or to buy coins?

Although in this case, when I look back at my family's spending on television equipment, it's not a reason to get rid of it in favor of bitcoin. But I promote the spirit of eliminating habits of wasting money to switch to more valuable investments to serve life.

If you can do it then that is great, since out of all of our expenses the worst by far are recurring expenses, because at the time they may not seem like too big of a deal as you are not spending a lot of money upfront, but if you add them and you project them to the future you will be astonished by the amount of money you will spend on this, and without a doubt one of the biggest expenses people are accumulating today are streaming apps, which do not really offer you much as even if you did not had the streaming app you could have entertained yourself in other ways and save yourself the money.

What do you all think about this idea?
That's a good idea in my opinion because sometimes television programs are not very informative or have a good impact.
I almost never watch TV broadcasts other than sports broadcasts via the internet, so subscribing to TV is just a waste of money which maybe in one month doesn't show much value for the money used, but if multiplied by twelve months and how many years we do that, the number will appear that if we invest in Bitcoin, our assets will increase because the value of Bitcoin will increase, and in my opinion, currently an internet connection is enough to get entertainment from the content we like.

Seriously, you won't be offending no one if you convert the funds for TV subscription for Bitcoin investment because no matter how small the amount is, it's better than nothing. Just like the others have said, you won't be missing much if you stopped watching TV and start doing it on your phone as the phone has more content to watch than these paid subs since you observed that they only repeat the same thing and if we look at it, you are the one running a loss because the money spent, you don't get the value for it when watching. I'm not even talking about where there is power outage that sometimes can last a month.
You are not a stranger to the pros and cons of investing in Bitcoin so I won't bore you with the deets but if you diverted to Bitcoin investment for not just the sole reason of maximizing the value of money you spend on TV subscription but also for quick profit, then I'd suggest you consider DCAing. Just my two cents tho.

Not sure how much those figures of 6400 & 2250 are in dollars but I think if you have other members in that home that do watch one or two programs on these TV stations it would be unfair to cut them off for an investment that will not be paying back anytime soon, if you can compromise for a cheaper package to free up so money I think that's a better option, better yet if you can get a good unlimited internet plan in your country am pretty sure you can find most of these programs online...which should allow you surf the web, keep in touch with the BCT forum and enjoy your favourite TV programs, hope this helps good luck.

for the sake of the kids so they can watch their favorite cartoon and I  get to save 4150 amount into Bitcoin.
What do you all think about this idea?
For the kids sake, Try compare IPTV package pricing against GOTV, DSTV and see if there is a huge saving that comes with going with the first option..
Better yet, doesn't this DStv package have an online platform that your can share with family and friends to cut on costs by splitting the bill or something so that you only pay a fraction of full cost to even save more...

it isn't a bad plan to consider cutting down your expenses most especially when it comes to entertainment expenses. But it's also necessary to know that you can't spend all your life making investment and not keep out some funds to take care of your own comfort and the comfort of your families. Another thing you should know is that there is a high chance that if you are not disciplined enough, you might not even invest the 4150 into bitcoin so while making a budget on what you are to spend every months, if for any reason you want to accumulate bitcoin from your personal earnings, you should automate it that ones you receive your pay that a certain amount will go into bit in investment.

Your decision was right and it would not really cost you that much when you don't subscribe to those channels. In fact, televisions are not a must appliances you need to have at home because in the world of the internet today, that isn't necessary. As for me, since I have gotten a PC, I don't watch TV anymore because I have all the tools to get updated on what's going on in the world today and I can download and watch every movie that I want. That's right, if you want to make changes in your life, you better think that way. rather than spending your money to lose it, why not invest it to have a chance to increase it?

Most people are moving away from TV and moving towards internet shows.. This is because internet shows are more mature and interesting. There is also more variety available online and the freedom to watch any particular show as per own schedule. On the other hand, TV is bulky and we cannot carry it with us to watch everything. Even, most popular TV shows have come online because of this reason.

I think not only TV subscriptions, but there could be ways not just for you but for others to cut their cost as we all know that everything now is very expensive. Even going to cinema or going out to eat or even gambling habits could be eliminated or at least be minimized to a certain extend and then put that money to invest in Bitcoin or any other assets for that matter.

And I think it's no secret though, we have heard this from successful investors, first they pay off their debts, and not cut their living cost and they call it delayed gratification. So you have to take a lot of sacrifices if you want to be a investor and doesn't have that big capital to begin with.

It's going to be boring for the majority of us, but we should prioritized thing and make the right decision, not just for us, but for our families as well.

Looks like you're from Nigeria since you mentioned GoTV. I'm not sure how expensive NGN6500 is compared to your monthly income, since it is quite cheap for my region (should be around $10 right?). If you can save NGN4000 per month, is it around $3? That's really small and I failed to understand how will that help you with accumulating Bitcoin unless you're small with collecting sats monthly. empy already mentioned above that even if you stop subscribing to your TV, you can only buy less than $100 worth of Bitcoin. I guess if you describe more about your economic environment, we can see how effective or impactful this saving plan is.

At the end of the day though, buying sats regularly is better than doing nothing as long as you don't have to spend too much on fees imo.

It's really not that much if you think about it. No need to cut corners, just have a good savings plan + disciplined DCA. You don't need to cut those monthly expenses (particularly if it's the kids who benefit). Instead, look at other aspects. Eat out a lot? Cook. Outside coffee a lot? Get a machine or go instant. Smoke? Get healthy and set the savings aside for Bitcoin.

Although, if I may be so brazen to suggest -- with decent internet, you could just download stuff in advance and put it all in a cheap HDD. When I was single, I watched quality stuff this way.

I think it is a wise choice if you are really not interested in watching those OTT platforms. Plus there are so many of them that they have different subscriptions for different OTT platforms. I mean in the initial days we used to have only a single TV subscription and we could watch hundreds of channels. Most of the time we did not even know if Abc channel existed. That's how epic everything was in the older days.

Now, it's all about hundreds of different subscriptions. You NEED to choose your favorite series or movies so that you can decide which OTT to subscribe to. That's how it is.

I think, its better you go with your thoughts and start saving money in Bitcoin instead of getting confused about the OTT's, non ending subscriptions and all that stuff.

What do you all think about this idea?
I think this is a very brilliant idea. Because if you don't use subscription TV which you always pay for every month, shows/movies will always be repeated and you will feel like you are wasting electricity. So it would be a very wise move if you reduce your TV subscription costs and use the remaining money you normally use for TV subscriptions to invest in bitcoin. . . . Because investing in bitcoin now is the right time. Because soon Bitcoin will enter a halving cycle and also a bullish market where usually the market price of Bitcoin will experience a high increase. So, if from now on you start collecting the money you usually use to pay for TV subscriptions and invest it in bitcoin. Most likely, in 2024 or 2025 you can make a profit from investing in Bitcoin.

But before you start collecting that money in bitcoin, don't forget to learn more about the knowledge related to bitcoin investment. Because if you want to invest in bitcoin, learning the knowledge is a very important first step. And besides that, don't forget to tell your family, especially your wife, about your decision to invest in bitcoin using the money you usually use for a TV subscription. Because don't invest in Bitcoin but don't discuss it first with your family (especially your wife). Because what if your wife wants to keep her TV subscription (complete package)? Because after all, TV also has quite effective uses for various things.
So basically you have to discuss it first so that your bitcoin investment process goes more smoothly.

Movies are the least channel I watch because there are other important programs to engage in. Business and political programs are my best content. Economic news helps me to get business ideas and make financial decisions while political programs help to reshape my political ideologies and perceptions. Sports has also become a part of me because of gambling. Subscribing to these TV packages is not just for pleasure but for business.

N6400 is less than $6 which means you will purchase $72 worth of bitcoin yearly if you don't subscribe to any TV package. I don't know how much you earn, maybe it might be a big investment for you. But to many such investment is quite insignificant, however nothing is too small to invest in bitcoin.

What do you all think about this idea?

TV used to be known as dumd box for a reason. It doesn't help you in anything apart from wasting your time. Old people, who have already crossed their working age, it's their time to watch TV. But if you do not belong to that age group, it doesn't make sense for you to watch TV.

So if you are investing into Bitcoin, it will serve a good purpose and might become very handy for the future. But when it comes to investing, do not forget other options like stocks and precious metals. They provide capital protection to some certain extent.

I actually don't think you should be aggressive about your Bitcoin investment, Bitcoin isn't going anywhere, if you invest $5 a week or two weeks in Bitcoin consistently you can accumulate a good amount, don't let the coming Bitcoin halving pressure you into FOMO.

This is the second time I am seeing someone talking about how they want to deprive themselves of things.

  • I turned my apartment into a shared one, meaning I got a flatmate and used the money paid to buy more Bitcoins.
  • No more buying new clothes, shoes, phones, or electronic devices. No more eating out. I'll cook all my meals. The money saved will be used to buy more Bitcoins.
  • This month, I'm selling off my car and I'll start using the train for commuting to work or any other essential place. Therefore, unless it is absolutely necessary, my social life is going to suffer for a little while. This delay of gratification is worth it.
  • I didn't renew my gym membership. I purchased some dumbbells and barbells to start working out from home. The money supposed to be spent on the gym membership will be used to buy more Bitcoins.

There's a flip side to this. After the halving, my Bitcoin investments would have doubled. I plan to reward myself with the profit by:

- Visiting Mongolia, one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I've seen a lot of  documentaries about Mongolia on YouTube.

How do you plan to make the most of your Bitcoin investments before the halving in 6 months?

Investing this way can lead to panic and even depression if things does not go accordingly, does suffocate yourself just to squeeze out funds to invest in Bitcoin, you can invest with the little you have without it being a strain to your livelihood.

What do you all think about this idea?

How much can you save per year if you reduce or completely cancel the subscription? If it is a significant amount for you and you want to divert it to some investment (Bitcoin in particular), I don't see why not to try, especially if you yourself claim that the content you pay is repeated from month to month.

However, think about whether there is something else you can save on that is not necessary for your life - for example cigarettes, alcohol, fast food and the like. In the meantime, there are some free solutions when it comes to watching TV, so even though it's not about premium content, you don't have to pay anything to watch it - whether it's a smartTV or a smartphone -> https://www.plex.tv

Actually this is a good idea...but do not just focus on the money you saved from getting away from your subscription expense but try to see many other fees and costs which can be unnecessary or you can practically downgrade for the purpose of saving more money. As far as I know, no one died because he canceled his subscription to any entertainment program. Another good idea is curtailing one's budget for unhealthy foods and choose less expensive natural alternatives...like instead of soda you can just drink plain water. Or maybe instead of going out for dinner or lunch, why not spend time at home and do the cooking. All the money saved can be used to buy Bitcoin instead...do this and one day you can be rich.

It's getting tiring watching the same movie over and over every month. If you know that you hardly benefit from it anymore and you've also mentioned that you're not satisfied with it, it's better to allocate that to something else, like considering and planning to invest in Bitcoin for potential gains. Just go for the lower subscription for the kids. But before you do that, you should also be aware of the associated risks and the possibilities that may occur, not just the potential benefits. If you're sure and comfortable with it, then go for it!

Your 4150 in Naira I presume will amount to around 4 dollars when converted to USDT and saving as little as that in a year can give you up to 50 dollars worth of investment.
The question is, purchase in what way? That won't happen with p2p purchases because network fees will cut bitcoin even more. Or just hope there's an exchange out there that will accept $4 deposits (plus OP has to do KYC).

Well, it doesn't sound like a bad idea, especially if, as you say:

I often find myself watching the same movies every month. Sometimes, I can't even watch them due to a lack of power supply, making me feel like I'm wasting my money.

In the end, the "budget" you have (even if you don't explicitly draw it up) is unique: it consists of income and expenses. If you want to invest in Bitcoin an amount that you do not invest now, you will have to take it out of some other expense. From what you say they are small amounts but accumulated over a couple of cycles can become significant after one or two cycles and more in your country.

I would also recommend as I usually do, that you try to increase your income, that way you can spend more and invest more in Bitcoin.

Pretty sure most people these days don’t have any cable tv or satellite subscription. Almost everybody has an Netflix, Disney Plus or just uses YouTube.

I think one of the reasons is that it’s onDemand. You don’t need to view the TV guide and wait for a favorite show to start. Plus with a normal Netflix subscription there are no ads in the middle of your movies and shows. The cable tv model is a dying business pretty much.

A wonderful idea of course. You should implement it immediately. I am fundamentally surprised at how you pay all these amounts for TV subscriptions? We are now in the era of the Internet and YouTube, and people in my country here have almost given up watching television altogether.

My kids watch their favorite cartoon shows on YouTube and rarely watch TV, so it is better for you to reduce your TV subscription or even cancel it completely and save this monthly money for the Bitcoin DCA strategy. You will never regret your decision.

Thinking out loud comes with advantages as it allows you to know other people's perspective on something you do personally and the chances this forum have availed us to think out our opinions loudly have solved so many problems for people out there.

I have stop subscribing for long a while now because I rarely have that time to watch the TV. Plus there's practically everything on the internet now so instead of those subscription, I prefer to leave my TV for my game console alone. Since it's a smart TV, I prefer to go on the internet to watch my programmes including football games. Although many may still see this as a personal decision to take, like single people won't see the need to pay for subscriptions, many married couples will see a reason to that.

What you did can be called recognizing value for money. It is better to invest than to subscribe in any instances but all lies on the interest of the beholder. Some people can go extra to satisfy their pleasure as they won't mind to go for multiple subscriptions where they could have saved such money for investments.

Your 4150 in Naira I presume will amount to around 4 dollars when converted to USDT and saving as little as that in a year can give you up to 50 dollars worth of investment. It could even go more than that in the event that the prices skyrocketed in the market. And that in itself is a great idea.

With Internet nowadays, with Youtube, with free learning courses and more, I no longer need to use television many years. Honest with you, I never watched television many years and I even don't have the need for it. I agree with you that it is a waste of money if what you intend to use your television is only for watching movies.

It will be different if you subscribe it for your children to learn English, living skills and more, which are helpful for your children and you can continue to do it. If you don't use television at home this way, it's a waste of money.

You can do it if television is not actually helpful for you and your children. I don't spend too much time daily for entertainment and I don't need television as said.

This is a really smart decision and I'm hoping that you're not just saying but will implement it. Considering that the movies shown are always repeated, I do not see any reason why you shouldn't cut that off already and redirect the money to somewhere else. Also, to save more money, you can download cartoon videos for your kids in a flash and they can watch them from there. Maybe every month you download a new set of cartoons for them instead of doing any subscription at all.

As has already been stated, saving money is of course always a good thing and directing your savings or at least a part of it to Bitcoin is very likely a good idea. It probably won’t change your life, but it shows that you’re willing to sacrifice and save to build yourself a better future. Over time this line of thinking can bring you major financial benefits.

What is there to think, saving money is always good. Just don't expect to get super rich from a small investment, because you need money to make money. The days of 100x returns in Bitcoin are gone, so the most realistic scenario is that if you'll save a year worth of tv subscription you'll make 3-5 years worth of tv subscriptions if you invest the money in BTC.

If you use TV subscription money for investment, what will you watch on TV? TV subscription may seem unnecessary, but you can also make budget for it in your monthly bill as you make budget for investment, you do not have to bore yourself to death because you are trying to invest in bitcoins, it should be enjoyable and everything necessary to make yourself not bored because you are trying to invest should be encouraged.

As for me, I often watch via the internet, although I have a paid subscription to Netflix to watch movies for around $7 monthly for almost a year. So do you mean instead of paying for my monthly subscription to Netflix for $7, I should shift it to buying Bitcoin?

I mean, I will implement DCA using my 7$ instead of paying it at Netfilix, and I will just watch movies for free monthly on the internet via YouTube and more. Is that right?

For almost 5 years, I haven't had any TV connection. Using smart TV through the Internet is better; I don't need to pay any extra TV subscription bills. Because almost everything is available on the Internet and most of our local channels have online broadcasts, For kids, there are a lot of YouTube cartoons, which is enough for them. I don't have much time to watch TV or use my mobile to watch movies, etc. during free time. So I think your decision to invest in Bitcoin instead of a TV subscription is more appropriate.

If you usually have a particular amount that you normally allocate to your TV subscription and perhaps you have lost interest on the TV shows, the money will definitely go to another budget if you are no longer subscribing, and if you have decided to allocate the money for your Bitcoin investment, I think it's a wise choice.

There's one of my in-laws who only subscribes to the TV channel when his children are on holiday; otherwise, the TV can go unsubscribed for two months or more, as long as the children are still in school.

I think you have a good idea, mate. Just like the first comment said, you can get most of the information you want on the internet.

Ultimately, television serves little to no purpose to human development...on the internet you can:
- Dig and find more important news.
- Potentially find the same shows, movies, and so on.
- Find cooking videos and recipes
- Look at international shows, news, events etc.
...
And isn't that really all that a TV has to offer these days? I think I am even being generous by not mentioning the negative effects that it can have on the brain.

Of course, if what you pay for TV can be avoided, your Bitcoin balance will not only increase at a faster rate, but your brain will probably be better off too.
