This is pretty cool. I've been searching for the v0.1 release as well. Running it now in a Windows 7 VM. Though it won't connect to anyone because it doesn't use checksums in its messages.

You can go back pretty far in the git history.

Even the old pre-git subversion changes were imported.

Hi,

Is the v0.1 Bitcoind source available anywhere? I looked at SourceForge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitcoin/files/Bitcoin/) and it only goes down to bitcoin-0.3.24
