Interesting comparison. But then again, almost anything can be given a variety of subliminal meanings with a few mental connections here and there.

Do the same people who believe in that shit also stick metal in their face, donning their creations to job interviews, then later bitch that life sucks cause they can't get a job, yet always seem to have money for weed and cigarettes and gas and McDonald's?

I have a nephew like that.

I'm not talking about people who think they are vampires, I am talking about the "legend" of vampires in general.

It's just an ancient, poetic way to say "Life's a bitch, then you die", but some people think it's cool, so now it's "Unless you get bit (join an organization) and take advantage of others."

I was just having a thought. And Life is actually a curse.

There is no god.
We have no purpose (unless we create one for ourselves, or one is created for us by other people. But that is not "purpose" in a universal perspective).
People die, but we remember.
Society sucks, but we can change it, but no one believes that, so everyone falls in line.

I think the story of vampires, is really just a poetic way to say "Life's a bitch", and we are all cursed until we die.
