Nike knows how to use blockchain technology and understand it pretty well. Thanks to their team who are assigned in the research and development.
It's a nice way to verify the authenticity for limited edition releases.
It would have been nice if Nike had used that, but unfortunately that is not the case. It was used by Chase Shiel. He makes customized shoes. For this case he used Nike Air Max.
But it is true that it makes sense to use VeChain for limited edition releases.
Oh yes, Nike would be amazing if they will be the one that's going to apply the technology. But still good for Chase if they are the ones that are going to use the blockchain technology for this use case. And certain technologies like Vechain although, this is an altcoin and others don't see that the technology that they have can be used for such, be happy to it that there is news like this. What if we get more of this from prominent companies which can trigger the massive adoption.

Blockchain is different from Defi, companies start using it because they are data centeral that are recorded and cannot be erased or deleted except with the consent of all members of the network.
a good report and we will see many applications, but it will not be reflected in the prices.
Everyone will start thinking about and investing in blockchain apps.

A friend of mine just told me on facebook to buy more of this coin without giving me reasons, so here is the real reason behind? This is absolutely excellent, adoption of blockchain technology to develop brands of products as will surely sideline the scam effect of cryptocurrency as many people think. I believe this incident would spike the price of Vechain in future.

A very potential step for the adoption of this blockchain technology. yes, I also read it, if VeChain is used to verify Nike shoes that are not genuine.
Actually, isn't this the first time that large companies have collaborated and used VeChain technology? Previously, if I'm not mistaken, there is also a Walmart subsidiary in tracking food products. And now there is Nike.

Isn't this very special? This can prove that the longer the blockchain technology is increasingly being occupied and trusted in supporting various industries. The development and adoption of blockchain technology can prove how technology will be always developing, moreover for the shake of the global industry and changes.

The  shoes are making by Chase Shiel. Those Customizer Sneakers have fare often a better desgin than the designs from the original brand.
Here is the shoe with traceability: https://chaseshiel.com/products/am1-cherry
But I cannot find anything at the website what indicates to Vechain. Which is a pity, because how will the customers know?
I'm sorry for responding late here,

Finishing off with the detailing. The tongue has an embroidery tag of the triple flavour ice cream in a cone, embedded inside the tongue is the VeChain authentication chip. Chocolate leather lines the inside with a waffle print insole. The ‘Cherry on top’ (or heel) feature is a cherry motif embroidery.

So if you have bought the shoes, there will be a chip inside that will authenticate it in the VeChain network. So this chip is encrypted containing that unique ID to say that your shoes is really real and not fake. And to authenticate it, you need to download VeChain apps on your phone.

Thanks for the link.
But what I don't like is that it was not mentioned on Chase Shiel's site.
Although it doesn't matter by now as the shoes are already sold out.  Shocked

VeChain is planning to change the Retail business and with the green signal in China mainland there's nothing that could stop them. They have a headstart and now a legal boost inside China that would let them expand without limitation and the only limiting factor would be their own capacity and marketing.

We can call this blockchain in action; indeed it is a good and encouraging one from VeChain thus showing that blockchain is just getting started and despite whatever contrary thing anyone thinks about it, it will surely disrupt systems sooner than later. Most times when some people talks about blockchain, one of the pertaining question always is, how is blockchain adoption working out? but now with this feat from VeChain among others who are leveraging and/or adopting blockchain services like Samsung, it is safer to say, blockchain adoption is gaining more attention and it's only a matter of time for massive adoption to take place.

Those guys behind VeChain are clearly on the right track. Using blockchain tech to incorporate it into our daily lives. That's adoption right there.
Imagine if Nike would take notice of this and officially partner up with them. Shocked For such a huge brand, if they do that, it would create a rippling effect ('cause we all know competitors don't want to get left behind  Roll Eyes)
Then, we might be able to see the blockchain tech being adopted by various brands in various industries.  Wink
And it will surely eliminate those fake shoes globally, which I think is the biggest problem that will be solved in this is going to be successful and Nike started to adopt it specially, with their high end shoes. And if you are a reseller or a buyer, you're not going to be suspicious and probably willing to pay huge amount if you yourself can authenticate it through blockchain.

Unlike today, wherein there are companies that supposedly an expert and authenticate it for you. But sometimes fake shoes are a bit tricky just be looking at it.

aka JAGEND.
This is what we need. Adoption, acceptance and use case. There are still many who confuse differentiate between crypto currency and blockchain technology. There are still many who think that crypto (blockchain) = bitcoin. Things like this (tweet above), should often be echoed and made as the "main selling". That blockchain technology will be very useful for our life. While on Twitter, YouTube or other social media, there are still many who write bitcoin to the moon, ethereum to the moon, without mention the benefits that can be given when blockchain technology is applied in our daily lives.

For sneaker heads out there, Vechain, a blockchain based traceability platform will be used to authenticate the limited edition of Nike Air Max that will be released on the 28th of this month. Customers and retailers can check everything by scanning the QR code on the original Nike shoes and see if it is genuine or not.

This could revolutionized the shoe industry if this is successful and fully adopted by Nike itself.
