On second thought there is no way vegascasino.io could have cheated me because the slots are iframed and hosted on the slot manufacturer's website, not on vegascasino.io website.
I just had very bad luck and under-estimated the volatility of the slot I was playing.

Most gambling sites are a scam, unfortunately.
edit: it's not a scam, I just had bad luck and underestimated the variance on the slot I was playing. It's a good casino. They always pay out quickly.
