[...? Note that they are working in the Texas oil fields, as well. Where else I wonder?

Cool

Would you care to elaborate what you mean with that? I thought we were talking about dangerous gangs and the negative effect they could have in the United States. Are you sure you are not talking about syndicates/unions in the country which specifically work within the oil industry or something like it? Because Tren de Aragua is specially prolific when comes to obviously illegal activities, like drug trafficking, weapon smuggling and so on. How does that compare to a private group of people who work together ?

Or are you suggesting unions are comparable to gangs, criminal gangs... ?

Generally I don't use Google. But they are better than DuckDuckGo. At least that's what I think.

The issue of gangs and terrorists that are springing up in different parts of the world is very worrisome, people no longer feel safe especially in developing countries. I don't worry much about criminal gangs in developed countries like the US, they have everything it takes to effectively combat them. But it's a different story in underdeveloped countries where criminal gangs and terrorists are killing and making life miserable for the ordinary citizens. The governments either don't have what it takes to tackle the criminals or they they're out of ideas because these bandits are gaining grounds everyday.

If a gang spreads in the country, they're just like BLM and Antifa. If they get too roudy, the people will take care of them... a gun under every blade of grass.

Cool

You cannot compare Tren de Aragua to BLM or Antifa. BLM and Antifa are political associations, movements held together by ideas and objectives, the gang you are talking about in this thread/discussions are criminals, almost we could classify them as barbarians who are willing to kill and torture anyone in their way for the sake of money. The crimes they have committed cannot and should not be compared to a political organization (not matter how radical they appear to be in your eyes).
Also, Tren de Aragua is known on the internet for blatantly record their crimes and then publish them on social media, to spread fear and uncertainty in whole communities.

Do you have evidence of both BLM and Antifa being drug selling gangs, torturing their victims on camera? I doubt so...
Ironically, since the have moved to other countries (like the USA) it has become safer here, only a little bit, though.

I would like to 'LOL'. But I won't, because you are 'respectable'.

A gang is like a club. If they do no harm, and set themselves up as a PMA (Private Membership Association), it's all good. So, I wonder why so many people fear them? Note that they are working in the Texas oil fields, as well. Where else I wonder?

As a Venezuelan, I must say this news are quite concerning, specially from the United States. Gangs from this country are specially bloodthirsty and aggressive, they seldom hesitate in killing people when they get in their way to make money through illegal means.
If I was from the United States and specifically from LatinAmerica communities, I would be specially careful not to stumble with those people.
I would even dare to say Mexican cartels have more organization and can tell when they are supposed to kill rivals and spare innocents, Tren de Aragua does not, though.

Law enforcement from the United States must make a priority to stop that gang from spreading in the country, otherwise many Latin American communities will live in chaos and chime for decades to come.
They used only to operate in this country before, but now they have decided to get their crimes out the country and make life of people in Argentina, Chile, Colombia and USA get miserable.

These gangs are establishing themselves in different countries to aid their criminal activities. Recently, Interpol, in partnership with other law enforcement agencies, had to track down some members of a violent cult group called Black Axe that operates in 21 countries on five continents. This well-known African cult group was engaged in cyber fraud, human trafficking, drug smuggling, and violent crimes globally.

The US has a better crime control system. I suspect that the Tren de Aragua gang activities in the US will soon be curtailed. They will not have a free day in the US like in Venezuela, where crime fighters are not well-trained and armed.

Looks like it isn't only the Texas oil fields that are being attacked by the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang. They have been in Aurora, Colorado, since 2023.

Colorado law firm report claims Venezuelan gang has "stranglehold" on apartments, takeover began in 2023

https://www.cbsnews.com/colorado/news/colorado-law-firm-report-claims-venezuelan-gang-stranglehold-apartments-takeover-began-2023/
A Denver law firm, hired to look into an alleged gang takeover of an Aurora apartment building, says they found the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang began taking over the Whispering Pines Apartments in late 2023. Since then, the gang has engaged in violent assaults, threats of murder, extortion, strongarm tactics, and child prostitution as they have exerted a "stranglehold" on the Aurora apartment complex. That's according to a letter sent to Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman, Aurora City Manager Jason Batchelor, and the interim police chief that was obtained by CBS News Colorado.

Each page of the nine-page report was labeled "CONFIDENTIAL TREATMENT REQUESTED." The Perkins Coie law firm shared its findings on Aug. 9 with Aurora's top administrators.

"The evidence we have reviewed indicates that gang members are engaging in flagrant trespass violations, assaults and battery, human trafficking and sexual abuse of minors, unlawful firearms possession, extortion, and other criminal activities, often targeting vulnerable Venezuelan and other immigrant populations," wrote T. Markus Funk, a former U.S. Attorney.

Funk did not respond to emails and phone calls from CBS News Colorado and a second associate at the law firm also did not respond to inquiries from CBS News Colorado.

The firm says it represents the lender for Whispering Pines Apartments, 1357 Helena Street, one of several  Aurora apartment buildings allegedly controlled by the Tren de Aragua gang. The law firm says it interviewed witnesses and reviewed video from the Whispering Pines for its investigation.
