If anyone is looking for a fast P2Pool server on VertCoin Network 2, mine is: stratum+tcp://46.38.250.238:9181

Not an exploit, it's the developer donation address that OCM users automatically switch to on occasion.

Hi All,

I'm relatively new to VertCoin mining.

Built a p2pool server using 'https://github.com/vertcoin/p2pool-vtc' on Debian with Front End 'https://github.com/justino/p2pool-ui-punchy' and core VertCoin wallet 'https://github.com/vertcoin/vertcoin' using VertCoin Network 2.

At first everything was fine, I would get roughly 0.02VTC 3 times per hour but after the halving last night this obviously reduced. Initially I would get 0.1VTC every couple of hours, however I've now stopped getting any payouts, over 12 hours and nothing.

There are occasionally other miners that join my pool but I'm mostly solo mining. What's odd is that when another miner joins, the pool hash rate stays the same while my miners hash rate reduces by roughly 10Mh/s and theirs increases to just under 10Mh/s it's almost as if they're stealing my hash rate. The other thing that's odd is that when another miner joins they tend to immediately get a payout, usually something about 0.2VTC and if I stop mining their hash rate slowly decreases along with my miners hash rate then they disappear after a few seconds.

Is this an exploit or is there some other explanation?

My ports are locked down to:
TCP 5889 - VertCoin core wallet
TCP 9181 - P2Pool
TCP 9346 - P2Pool
TCP 9347 - P2Pool

Thanks,
S
