On the Windows operating system, the hash rate has dropped. Do not use windows 7 and windows 8.
It is better to use Windows 10 and install old drivers (2080), on new drivers the hashrate is worse.
Set the default settings in the MSI Afterburner, and then change the power limit to 75%.
Test in this mode, you must have at least 25 mh, and then increase the memory frequency

Hashrate drop off nvidia cards has nothing to do with windows -> it is a bug on Nvidia Pascal GPU´s for all OS -> but 1070ti is the only Nvidia Pascal GPU without this bug -> confirmed by Nvidia -> i posted the statement from nvidia many times!!!!

No hashrate don´t drop for 1070ti!!!! All other pascal GPU´s slow down -> the 1070ti not!!!!!! 1070ti can run to 35mh. Don´t use powerlimit to reduce the power -> reduce vcore and let powerlimit at 100% (this is the new way and better way) -> stable hashrate -> stable power consumption

and how do you manage to lower the vcore with nvidia?

I have always adjusted the power consumption of this video card through the power limit settings

What kind of malware is it? That's strange, does that malware use your mining power or something? Is it a crypto malware or another kind of malware? I never heard something like this.

Hashrey is decreasing not because of Windows, but because of the installation of new drivers.
These video cards mine worse on new drivers.
I use hive OS because nothing is updated there without the user's permission, and in the Windows operating system, after any update, new problems constantly arise.

I use newest driver for my cards and it have the same mining speed. So maybe you do something wrong. And by the way -> windows will not update anything if you do the right clicks. So many people can´t handle this problem over years -> i have solved this problem since 2017 -> and i used only google do find out how to deactivate windows updates -> if needed i can make an short description with nice pics and so Cheesy

I set fixed vcore over the driver -> but you can also set fixed vcore in MSI Afterburner -> but you must find the option. You can also use t-rex miner oder gminer -> they can set fixed vcore also.

So nvidia not only in mining also messed up with driver even in gaming. My laptop was running very smooth until i updated latest driver. laptop started very slow and game loads very long time. i used driver which was realesed in october 2020. I installed that driver back and laptop runs fast like used to be.

Might be a problem on the installation too, maybe start with a clean install. NVIDIA has this mining limitation since a few months ago, so you should expect frequent fuck ups with their drivers. That being said, this anti-mining driver is gimmick at best since it only limits one or two algorithm and it's easy to bypass, as long as you accept the risk of breaking your card/warranty.

It is better start with afterburner for newbies. aplly 1st 75 power limit dont touch clocks yet.
then add in bat file in phoenix this : -straps 1 -nvmem 1
After this run bat file then on afterburner increase memory clock slowly slowly until it crashes write down all speeds and hashrate then repeat same for straps 2 and 3 find best for you. Also you can increase -vmr manually later. good luck

Use DDU in safe mode to do an uninstall of the driver and then install the latest Nvidia driver. You also don't need to use Afterburner. Set the core, memory and power limit offsets directly in the PhoenixMiner config file or string with -cclock, -mclock, -powlim and run PhoenixMiner as an administrator.

To get 32Mhash You must use pretty high OC with poor cooling.
Change that and AB will be no problem.

Mining on Windows is not optimal, you have to use HiveOS to keep stable hash rates.

this is my desktop pc, so i don't have much choice, but i don't understand why i have this hash drop
