AQUATIC LEVOFLOXACIN 500mg 20 TABLET - 0.22BTC

I purchased some Levofloxacin 500mg from Walmart.

The price for 10 pills was a little under $150 USD.  0.02095 BTC

With insurance, it was $1.

Just go to the doctor... I don't understand paying .22 BTC for something you can get easily through a professional at a cheaper rate.  (no offense OP)

No insurance route:
  Doctor visit: $100
+ Test for something +$350
+ Pills $150

Well for one, the OP is from 2015, it was necro bumped by a spam bot linking an online pharmacy, who's post was since deleted. Many of these fish antibiotics are literally the same pills as prescribed to humans. Of course some people are too retarded to operate heavy machinery let alone figure out what kind of antibiotics they need, but I can personally see the appeal of skipping all of that bullshit if I already know what my problem is and the doctor is just going to tell me what I already know. It is not that hard to tell the difference between a bacterial and a viral infection after all.

Marketing antibiotics as being for fish is fairly common. Even Amazon has been known to sell them and in many cases they are much cheaper than the alternative.

I'm no legal council, but there may be some laws where you are allowed to import antibiotics for animals/pets in some countries without needing a prescription since they are not for humans. But that's just what I've heard....

This is not legal advice or any other type of advice. Just random internet bullshit.

Yes, for example, in Russia or Hong Kong, you can buy anything without a prescription.
Sometimes, getting a prescription is unreasonably high price. Actually, if you know a little bit how to apply them.

Would like to know what exactly you're quoting, but OK I'll buy it.  Vet medicine never was my forte.

Still, your sales pitch is weak and how do we know you have what you say you have?
Which antibiotics from the list you are interested in?
Sorry the bolded part was meant figuratively.

Roober, there's no fucking way those dosages are used in tablet form for fish and I'm not sure what the purpose would be anyway.  Those are adult human dosages and would be too much even for an infant.  Care to explain?

Add content of one capsule (250 mg) into aquarium for each 10 gallons of water to be treated. Repeat in 24 hours. It is suggested that a partial water change be made between treatments. While durations of treatment depends on type and severity of the infection, it is recommended that extended baths in the medication continue for a minimum of five days and for not more than ten days. Discontinue treatment with this medication if no improvement is noted within five days.

Caution: For aquarium and ornamental fish only. Not for human use. Keep out of the reach of children. Keep container tightly closed and in a cool dry place. Not to be given to fish intended for food use.

Fish Antibiotics Facts and Information
Q. What are fish antibiotics?
A. Fish antibiotics are used to treat bacterial infections in fish. The antibiotics that are used to treat fish are the same or similar as the antibiotics that are provided for human use from antibiotic manufacturing companies, depending on type of antibiotic and form. Antibiotic tablets and capsules used for ornamental and pet fish are the same as the antibiotics dispensed from the local pharmacies for human use, except that they are clearly labeled for fish use only and are not for human consumption.

Q. If the antibiotics for fish are the same as the USP grade antibiotics that are dispensed from human pharmacies then why are should humans not take them also?
A. The law clearly states that any antibiotic for non-human use needs to be labeled as "not for human use" regardless of application. Sources it's antibiotics from the same USP grade manufacturing as antibiotics used for humans, but they are not doctors and do not deal in human health problems. Only a doctor can correctly prescribe antibiotics for specific need in humans.  If a human is sick and needs antibiotics then it is likely that person also needs the expertise and guidance of a doctor.

Q. If fish antibiotics are labeled "not for human use" does that mean I can give them to my dog or cat, or other sick animal?
Antibiotics you may be prescribed at the veterinarian's office may be exactly the same as the antibiotics make for fish, it is likely that if your animal is sick enough for antibiotics then they should be under the care of a veterinarian.

Don't really think you are supposed to feed this stuff to fish: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Levofloxacin
Btw, isn't it just plain illegal to produce and sell medical stuff without licence?
How do I know what's in them?

Hello, unfortunately, if you want a warranty, you should contact the veterinary to get a prescription and buy at the pharmacy. I guarantee not provide.
