Usually I would expect price to reflect news instantly before I get chance to read it.

Life, Love and Laughter...
FUD.  That's been going around Twitter but some source from China are saying it's fake news.  But if it were really true, then 'Bye Bye China'.  I'm pretty sure you will find some other means to do your pump and dump way of trading.

ViaBTC announced that their Beijing Blockchain Summit has been cancelled due to "scheduling conflicts." However, they are still scheduled for Hong Kong on the 20th...

Would Mainland China lack the authority to close exchanges in Hong Kong if they were closing the exchanges everywhere else?

Interesting. Even though this seems like to me to be some sort of elaborate hoax, there seems to be a pretty healthy chance that it is legit.

I mean i personally know nothing about Chinese press, but if they predicted China banning ICOs just 2 days before, then they have some credibility here. However, the extent of shutting down all bitcoin and altcoin exchanges seems to be much wider, and much more difficult to maintain.

Will they also be banning p2p exchanges like LBC, or only centralized exchanges? If the former then i think we could expect price to adjust to even worse levels. But we'll see whether this news is legit first or not.

Peer to peer will be legal, but centralized exchanges for fiat to crypto will be banned. They want to regulate it before opening again. It's quite logical.

If China ban bitcoin or exchanges, then it will be our benefits, moreover if we can buy bitcoin from them, an easy profit.
Bitcoin price still tanks and seems already recover to over $4300 on most global exchanges.
Whatever they said, if there's no official statement from government, then it just another fud from Chinese people trying to shake the market. Well, many people already panic sell, so they already succeed regards this news.

Looks interesting... also all crypto is trading on Chinese exchanges with a great discount (3700 China vs 4200 Western exchanges USD; ETH 260 vs 290, NEO 19 vs 24)

BTC/USD 3700 on Chinese exchanges vs 4200 on western exchanges.

ETH/USD 260 vs 290

NEO/USD 19 vs 24

Also ViaBTC Exchange CEO announced that China IS BANNING BITCOIN... on Twitter.

Something is about to happen... this might be bigger than November fork.

I've already sold and already in profit if I bought now back, but not buying back for a while.

It already has been said already that this is fake news.

"Okcoin and Huobi PRs said they haven't received such notices and are still in operation as of now"

The price is way cheaper because of the panic sell that this news caused in the chinese market - which was probably the reason behind the rumor. I guess someone got richier today.

No it wasnt... your tweets are older than the ViaBTC CEO's tweet.

And also... they just said that hadnt received any new directives.
