Lol at the replies here. Help him out guys.
My answer no. The fact that Segwit is going to be activated in Bitcoin thru Segwit2x or BIP 148, will negate all the positive benefits it could possibly have in VIA or even LTC. Sorry, but BTC still wins in the long run. It has the most mature code base and the most secure blockchain. There was a time when I thought BTC's time was running out, I was wrong. It's time is only beginning.
Wrong... SW enables LN - that gives the opportunity of cross chain TX's if anything BTC having SW and LN will give smaller coins a boost. IE - vendor accepts only BTC, but you only have VIA - LN is the key..
please read up before you spread useless FUD
FUD? For trying to tell the truth? Why would developers of LN be interested in VIA if Segwit is activated in BTC?
So LN could enable atomic cross chain transfers. That's good news for VIA holders because they could transfer to BTC seamlessly. Bitcoin is the winner here overall, you got to see that. I mean sure there are speculative benefits for VIA but that's it.
