Do you have a list of nations that also includes what the natural resource was that we exploited? Or can you add a column for it? It also might be nice to have a "primary benefactor" column that adds the corporate entity primarily involved in extracting the resource(s).

It certainly makes it clear that the US wants to profit from Ukraine's resources while the Ukrainians get nothing but austerity and grinding poverty.
Let's hope the east and south jump off - it would void the contract unless renegotiated by the new leaders of the people's republic of Donetsk and Lugansk.

If the South and the East separates from Ukraine, then that'll leave the country in economic ruin. Almost all of the heavy industries are located in the East, while the important ports are in the South. The West have nothing other than the agricultural land.

I did not know the Anglosphere already owns Nigeria.  Thanks!

Well.. you can say that the Anglosphere is gradually winning the battle for Nigerian oil against the French and the Italians. But you'll never know, when will the Chinese jump in to the fray.  Grin

I heard that was some new fake "humanitarian crisis" thing about schoolgirls in Nigeria.

Nigeria has big energy resources.  They could be next in line for American violence.

Most of the oil rigs in Nigeria are already owned by the American petroleum corporations (Chevron, Exxon-Mobil.etc), although some are owned by the Europeans (Royal Dutch Shell, Agip, and Total). Therefore, the US doesn't need to invade Nigeria. Nigeria is not gaining anything from its oil wealth. The entire Niger delta looks like an environmental catastrophe zone.

Apropos, a 2-year old article:

Ukraine has rights over gas fields in the Crimea
Not anymore, because all ukrainian state property in the Crimea was nationalized by Aksyonov's government.

There was a similar US-backed coup in Russia too.

Forgot that. US was behind Yeltsin also. The 8 years of rule by the drunkard put Russia behind by 80 years. Not even the Nazis during the WW2 did as much damage to Russia as Yeltsin did in the eight years.

Turchinov = Yeltsin

Unrests, illegitimate adjustments in constitution, unknown snipers, armed crackdown of the Parliament and worthless talks about democracy. Roll Eyes

I just wonder at times what it would have been like to have been born into a different family. One whose parents and/or lineage had powerful political connections that would have allowed me a position early in life that would guarantee me not having to work for the rest of my life.

It wasn't some lottery.  Your parents had sex without a condom and you came out 9 months later, it was that simple and innocent, and everyone is born that way.

Wow, there's so much under all of the things we see in the media.  Politics is so interesting and so deep... it's hard to understand what's really going on with all of the dis-information that's fed to us.  I think it's about seeking out as much info as you can from the best sources you can possibly find - and finding these sources and filtering them can really deem so difficult.  That's why most people who talk about conspiracies seem to have some sort of mental illness... I mean who can we trust at this point to give us real unbiased info.  No matter who you turn to we're all dealing with disinformation being thrown at us from every angle and we're all corrupted in some way.

Anyways end rant... just in awe that after watching a few Ukranian-Russian struggle documentaries that there's so much more behind what I've been told.

Regarding Iran... Russia closed down 6 or 8 GPS calibration stations on its territory as US refused to have GLONAS stations on its. Now Russia said they will open some GLONAS calibration stations in Iran. What does it tell you?

GPS data can be exploited by the US military for launching missile strikes. So it was a good step from Russia. Allying with nations such as Venezuela, Cuba and Iran could send a tough message to the war crazy politicians of the United States. Still, it was unfortunate that Russia supported the embargoes against Iran. Should have vetoed it.

The US has been conducting wars for the last 60 years or so, to gain possession of additional natural gas / petroleum resources. Ukraine is just a small entry in that long list. The next nation to be there will be Iran.

Now Merkel & Co. should think hard, whether they want to be part of Obama's war machine. These proxy wars only help the US, and no one else.

Graft methods can certainly be unique. Does either Biden have any sense of ethics at all? Does anyone believe that Biden's visit to Ukraine was just coincidental to his son's appointment?
