Well there is one more technology that could make an human lost his job. In other side, its make customers feel more comfortable and they dont need to pay tip for it.

This is a great idea and super convenient. One of the downsides of room service is the crazy surcharges and tip charges they add to your bill. Hopefully with a more automated process like this, the customer in the hotel can save a little money.

Wow very nice. Its name is ALO and it has eyes on the screen Smiley. Maybe this is the end to the room service guys and their large tips, or maybe not because this will be a very large investment for many smaller hotels.

All they need to do now is mount a fleshlight in it and their sales will quadruple.

This is interesting. Thanks for sharing this, I wonder which location it was at.

For those that don't know, Aloft hotels don't have formal room service or a real kitchen. They have a community pantry (so to speak) with mostly cold food (e.g., yogurt, granola, milk, juice, chips, cookies, some sandwiches) and some previously made warm food (breakfast sandwiches, almost exclusively). So this robot style food delivery is a nice compliment to their low-service model. They don't need to prepare anything more than is already prepared and they don't need to hire more staff to run the orders.

I think this is a very appropriate place for robots to increase service without taking jobs from others. It's a nice balance...
