The famous YouTuber PewDiePie is already into gaming. Now once again this youtuber is into gaming, and has announced the new gaming wallem. This game is something similar to the Pokemon Go where users can collect cryptocurrencies. The gaming industry is getting more into the blockchain integration.
pewd has a tons of subscribers in yt and I think he was leading before with most number of subs but i lost track and I dunno now if he still own this title or t-series already take the lead  . Promoting a game with crypto on his channel can be another big break for crypto but Ubisoft is a game company , a big company not just a YouTube channel, supporting cryptos on thier side will also boost the sales of crypto . Study shows that crypto users are also more engage into the gaming scene . Not only sales of crypto are going to increase but sales of the games can too .

I think they should also launch their own token in the market that could be used in all of their games, Also could be used in buying skills or items in the game this could be a great token targetting gamers.

Do you think they should launch their own token?
I kinda like this idea. Since I am a fan of video games myself and a fan of cryptocurrencies as well, it would be a lot more convenient for me.
This might be the beginning of the integration of the gaming industry and crypto, and if this continues this will attract more investors, and since we know how successful the game industry is this might contribute to the whole market.
There are already projects of video games company but not a known company had been implementing or creating token for their games. I think that was Rawr tokens. I am not sure but involving tokens or cryptocurrency in video games is one a big leap or advancement of gaming industry. This is a great help like to what is happening now to other business sectors like gambling industry.

Gaming industry should be one of the greatest supporter of cryptocurrency.
I think we have a huge number of gamer here in crypto industry and it would help a lot if they would accept crypto on their payment option,
P.S I also spend money on games that is why I want crypto to be part of their payment option so I could do it privately without my family knowing it  Wink .

I don't know where that company is based but it will definitely pull some investors. Those companies who have initiated for being a pioneer of cryptocurrency is lucky because they already knew the blockchain technology before it goes in mainstream world. If giant companies will support cryptocurrency, specially those who are involved in tech and games, its pretty sure that cryptocurrency will become popular around the world.

I'm not impressed yet, not until the day we see Sony computer entertainment company and microsoft start implementing crypto rewards for playing their games then I will be satisfied, I'm looking forward to this.

We are nearing towards success patience prevails, it will definitely take some time to reach the market. Because the majority of gamers are especially youngsters where many of them are not aware of crypto is all set to go with payments for gaming, I could only say that we are going slowly inching towards success.

The game industry is huge, some people compare it with the film industry, Yeah I have heard ATARI has mad a token too, of course, game industries would rather have their own tokens so they don't need to pay the fee for PayPal gateway or any other third party, the same thing that Sand has done before, you can buy stuff in some games by Sand tokens, even land, now Binance is supporting them too, the last IEO of Binance proves that , Seems like blockchain is finding its own path to the new industries, and it all started with industries based on the computer.

This have been my dream for a very long time now, imagine earning some valuable coin or token when playing video games, like getting paid to hunt down some terrorist group, how the hell this won't attract many gamers around the world? We will see more people becoming gamers because of this, I hope someday this will come true

There is nothing surprising. All video game platforms have in their structure some tokenization not related to the blockchain.
Each of them would prefer to have a full-fledged fast high-speed blockchain on their platforms; however, no one has yet managed to fully realize this venture.
What Ubisoft is offering is just an attempt to create such a structure. These are the first steps that may or may not succeed.
You should not expect much from such startups, however, the fact that the largest game production companies turn their attention to blockchain is very good.

That's good to hear! I think Ubisoft has seen the potential of cryptocurrency that's why they want to support or even develop its network, for its gaming products. that reality is not far to happen because if we base on this information Ubisoft is very determined to bring it to the highest level.
They've seen that this system is good for alternative as integrating their system to crypto can bring much wider success. If this company will take this seriously and more company will follow this lead then surely the success rate of this industry will be much better. Keep in mind that in every adoptions that will take place there's always impact to the whole industry.

Ubisoft (A Video Game Company) is going to support cryptocurrency planning to supports cryptocurrency looking for new blockchain startups it can support.

Ubisoft company is popular because of its market and revenue, develop popular games like Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Watch Dogs, etc.

Do you think they should launch their own token?
Honestly, here in the Philippines, we have our own crypto wallet that we could buy game credits in our steam accounts, garena and other gaming platforms which it is really convenient for us crypto users and at the same time gamers. I also think it could be effective if there will be a cryptocurrency that was owned by a gaming company and i assumed that it will be successful.

I think yes but for now they are targeting some partnerships with cryptocurrency projects looks like they are still on testing phase whether to create their token or not. But I think they will launch their own coin some of this months as they will compete with big companies to be leading on this field.

I personally love the games launched by ubisoft. Ubisoft is a multinational company which already has its own stocks. But yes, this might be a good idea to generate a token for the regulatory system of their company. Also in no time they would sell huge amount of their tokens as the individuals who are die hard fan of such games would never mind buying tokens to purchase some ultimate skills or skins, etc.

It would actually be beneficial for the gamers as well as to the company itself. It is really good in hearing that such firms have started collaborating with cryptocurrencies for their own benefits which would also lead for a better future of the cryptocurrencies.

Better for their own improvement. But for maximizing the possible users they can used other popular coins in the market who will provide them a better functionality, in transactions and payments system. Well, there is nothing wrong on choosing a best side though. Anyway, I am not total gamer, but I love playing online/offline games, knowing this incoming improvements will surely give players a much more better path/options on transacting with the game. And I believe, that it will gather more players, especially those who are fan of cryptocurrency, may be checking it out? Or supporting the game as well.

More and more big companies around the world are now realizing that cryptocurrency is the future, so it is not surprising they try to earn money with investments in blockchain startups.
very lucky if Ubisoft is working with the blockchain project, I'm curious about who Ubisoft partnering with,
if with Tron or Ethereum it seems like buying ETH and TRX could be a recommendation
It's still looking for the good blockchain project to give a support. Ubisoft is not yet working with the blockchain platform and as you can see from that news if ubisoft gives the support in the development related to the game and i just think if the developer of the blockchain must able to create a game powered with blockchain and crypto ecosystem in the future.

We have had many projects related to the Game field and I realize that most of the projects are not working well and fail.  A big and influential company like Ubisoft is sure to have an impact on users.  But the biggest problem with cryptocurrencies is legal.  Not all countries will accept cryptocurrencies and it is possible that the game will be banned or disabled for some payment features.
legal status is one of the problems in the crypto currency project, this makes investors think again to invest their funds there,
hopefully there is a bright spot for this, if Ubisoft partnered with one of the projects, that would be greatly appreciated

very lucky if Ubisoft is working with the blockchain project, I'm curious about who Ubisoft partnering with,
I also doubt I think I saw that in the OP, it's important to know which cryptocurrency Ubisoft will be working with, if it's an altcoin or bitcoin. If it's bitcoin then it's better for Ubisoft, bitcoin is the most popular and it will allure/entice more customers for them, I'm very sure they'll have more bitcoiners as customers than altcoiners.

But even if they will be partnering with an altcoin, it is also not a wrong move, there are good altcoins in the market and this year has been good for them, so if ubisoft will be working with one of them, then it is a good business.
Chances of bitcoins being accepted as a monetary payment system on the Ubisoft official platform might be a bit less due to the higher confirmation time, higher fees, etc which does not make bitcoins reliable for such instant payments. But, there are few other coins which could be a boost for the payment systems with minimum fees and fast network confirmations.

We can see that coins like EOS or Waves are been used in most of the gaming platforms so we might expect those coins to enter unisoft too. But, XRP launching it's new features like xRapid might make it more likely to get accepted into majority of platforms which might include ubisoft.

I would expect something more global from such a large company. Another new token will appear on the market, but this will not lead to any global changes in the cryptosphere. But I understand that they are doing what they can do. In addition, this is a good advertisement, because the video game industry has a huge audience around the world. It seems to me that such a token would be very successful.

Actually this kind of news is awaited by me. because I'm also a gamers, and join the crypto community to support what is truly the future. of course I am happy to see this if the popular gaming industry in the world adopts blockchain technology. But my assumption is that the video game company will make its own currency and not use the current alt network as we know it. one of the reasons also makes the currency itself will be more profits for the company, even though it requires a large enough cost for the promotion and construction costs of the crypto.

I think this is going to be a great asset as Ubisoft also supports the cryptocurrency as a payment in their games I think it will be a great option and useful for someone like us that is aware of cryptocurrency and also a gamer.
In my opinion, this is going to be a big help to the company since it could attract and add to their profit if they have this option. Also, they are already investing in cryptocurrency as they implement this. Either way, cryptocurrency is also going to get big support and influence in this company.

Where is Microsoft? Where is Sony? The moment these two take over crypto implementation in video games the result will be mindblowing, let's leave out game developers and hope for the biggest console giants, imagine playing PUBG and earning rewards base on crypto? What other thing can make gaming more addicting ?

It's great if it happens by playing games and making some virtual currencies that have pretty good prices right now. Maybe that was the thing that everyone was waiting for in my opinion.
That will be a whole new level of playing video games and i am sure that people will like that even if they are not the gamer type but of course for the gamer it will be a new opportunity to continue their gaming and then your hobby can also be your part time job which is a win-win situation.

Indeed when bigger and more popular companies step up on makinh their own digital currencies and implementing it in a game that will surely be a big event for cryptocurrency and video game world and this can help in the mass adoption of cryptocurrency

I think that the best first step would be to accept Bitcoin or some other altcoins in exchange for their games. Investing in startups is a great idea because the area is still unexplored and open for new possibilities but they should first show themselves as supporters of existing coins than looking to pump even more. If they invest in a project that fails it won't make a good first impression.

When I read this topic, the first thing that came to my mind is the movie 'Ready Player One'. In the said film, the creatord of the Oasis virtual game, this game played by millions, they created a virtual currency, most likely resembling blockchain currencies and it became successful. If game companies have one thing in mind then that is to use the full pros of the blockchain and make tons of money out of it. Many gamers would also benefit on that system too, helping eliminate poverty in the gaming community. I would be very interested in checking the said developments.
no only virtual game that can accept payments using cryptocurrency, currently I am still playing games in the game "Ninja World" (https://www.plaync100.net) when I want to top up gold there also can already accept payments using cryptocurrency so I think now many game platforms have started using cryptocurrency as one of their transaction methods.

Even if they do not make this something very known in the gaming community, I think there is a good chance we can have a good exposure just from Ubisoft itself, they are big enough to make a news about bitcoin in general.

However, what we are forgetting is the fact that just because they are doing this doesn't mean they will market it as well.

Remember Unicef? They have a crypto fund in general and they are huge as well yet very little amount of people know about the crypto fund, only we in the crypto world know about it, which means Ubisoft doing something like this is great and all that but if nobody knows about it, it won't change anything for us, they need to not only do this but also do some sort of marketing to get this heard all around the world as well for us to take advantage of it.

Maybe this is the first time a gaming firm planning to develop its own BlockChain for its functioning. Rather than going for its own coin it is good to go with the popular cryptocurrencies and further based on the response gained it is good to go for own coin. If I'm not wrong there are more number of cryptocurrencies developed for the purpose of gambling, but none has gained importance.

this is really one of the reasons why cryptocurrency will continue to grow, many countries are starting to look at cryptocurrency to benefit. especially now people prefer playing games rather than staying at home.

in principle, they can issue their game currency. But, frankly, I do not see the need for encryption and anonymity when using currencies. Although, in principle, your blockchain with its masternodes and rewards for conducting transactions would be very interesting to users.

Yes, it has become supposed to maximize its functionality. So a more unique community niche will be formed. If the company does not want to be difficult to develop it, the company can use a cryptocurrency that already exists like BTC and other altcoins for payment options.
I am very interested in gaming companies that want to combine blockchain with technology, it's like a double power to attract millennial interest.

It will be much better if they will add crypto support in thier shop
It is better if they will do it like that. But there must be some reasons why they haven't done that or they are cooking something that might shock their customers and even the cryptocurrency communities. I'll the be one to quickly purchase a game with bitcoin if they have started accepting payments with it.

I am happy when I see that new partner is on the same boat, especially when we talk about a video game company, many young people play games, understand computer technology, so the best audience for new digital technology.
Yes, the next generation would be the best one to be exposed with this kind of technology. But for the profit generation of their company, they have to stick with where they're earning and they are still doubtful to simply add the crypto payment option.

with positive news like this is good news for the cryptoqurrency market again, if Ubisoft companies immediately adopt blockhain technology or develop their own cryptoqurrency, then this can attract the attention of investors out there to join the industry cryptoqurrency as well.
Actually it is not new news because we can see today many project developers have begun to make games as their project concept and some of these projects have been quite successful in adopting Cryptocurrency in the games have developed, for example, the agareum (agr) project where each player will get a number of tokens if they overcome their opponents, but it will indeed be quite positive news if a large game company is planning the adoption of Cryptocurrency, while in fact the project is no difference from the faucet that had already existed in my opinion.

Wow, never knew that Ubisoft is interested on cryptocurrency. A giant video games company that is well known around gamers.

It think that is a very good move from them, because that way they could attract more gamer who are into cryptocurrency and into games to use their services or products.
And also it might boost up cryptocurrency's popularity even more than now.
Seems like they are just triyng to test the water and these blockchain things which are currently hyped up by many instances. Although if it could supports the development and research of the utilization for blockchain it'd certainly helps a lot regardless what's their intentions are.

It's great that some big game company have taken a look at the cryptocurrency I think they saw how can a blockchain helped their company I think its their main goal to create a blockchain and have their own coin however the only thing that came to my mind is what are the things we can do about their token? mine it? buy their games using their coin? buy DLC's or items from them?

well this is interesting let's just watch about this matter and see where the blockchain willl bring the Ubisoft company.

I think they should also launch their own token in the market that could be used in all of their games, Also could be used in buying skills or items in the game this could be a great token targetting gamers.

Do you think they should launch their own token?

There are two options for them either they will use an existing currencies out there or they can just create and launch their own currencies especially if they like to earn additional revenue to their company knowing that they are a big company already.

They should gather first the team like the developer team as it is very important especially if they have no background yet about the currencies that they like to launch and with regards to marketing, I am pretty sure that they can pull it out correctly as they have experience already. So for me, it will be best if they just launch their own currency so they will not be dependent to other currencies out there and they can just freely do any adjustments that they like in the future.

Either way, I think these companies need these kinds of assets and could be really useful in the future because of this technology a lot of countries is slowly adapting to this cryptocurrency, bitcoin, altcoins, etc. that is also increasing its community over time. For sure as Ubisoft is also going to adapt to this cryptocurrency technology or even if they created their own token I think it will be both have a big effect in this revenue in the coming years.

Surely this cryptocurrency is going to be a great asset when it comes to popularity and could also be useful for the users as it adds to its payment method in the Ubisoft games or applications.

I have always supported a crypto currency for in game thing and people never really cared. Think about it, nowadays many games have diamonds, tickets, golds, timers, rubies or coins and what not which is basically just a digital fake thing that nobody really uses outside of that game right? So, if one company like Ubisoft or Blizzard or any major one just made a crypto currency of their own that somehow could be "earned" instead of mined, they could really make something special of this.

You can both buy the Ubisoft coin but also earn it as well, so either you spend your time or your money to get it and if you get it, you could sell it to other people as well if you want, or you can use it in games too, or you can even wager against other people and play against them and win more coin like that.

Basically, it might create some sort of issue for the companies that does it, however if they can manage to make it work they could make a lot more money with it on many many platforms.

There have been many gaming startups but they all failed. Some were even starting to look good but they judt gave up. It is a huge task to take up so it makes sense a proper company like ubi soft will take it on. They have the respect and the funding for something like this. Now they just need to team up with a capable dev team and we might actually see a revolution in gaming and imagine all the gamers wanting ti get on board and buy the currency, It will do wonders for crypto.

It'll be just like how I use Steam Credits just for the sake of buying games.

Of course the best thing for them is to launch their own product, while the other coins are just as a support, which means that when we don't have their coins, then we have to exchange the coins we have for their products. I hope such good things will continue to emerge so that the transaction or trading model is not monotonous but diverse.

Since they are looking for company to support with, maybe they are not yet ready to create their own, they might be needing some support to those who already created one and they might improve it in their way. If they are targeting time to launch a blockchain system and if they have no background of it. It will take time before they can do their own. So being with other startup with knowledge can benefit both parties. It's also good for the startup to be supported by someone who already gain brand and supporters.
I just try to speculate if ubisoft try to get the help from the crypto developers to create a gateway to make their HD game will be mixed with the crypto features in the future. By created this announcement and it looks like this company is wanna search for not only to give the support but also the future partnership.
I may think this company is seeing another chance to go to the crypto market.

I believe that for Ubisoft it doesn’t matter if it is a token or coin on its blockchain or Ethereum, for example, the main thing is that they see the future in blockchain technology and understand that this niche should not be missed. But I, as a supporter of Ethereum, would be glad if Ubisoft used the Ethereum platform and launched its token on its platform. I am sure it would be the best choice.

Well, if they are looking for new blockchain startups to support then that most probably won't happen. Enjin could probably fit the bill, they are quite popular now and have tie-ups to lots of games.
Though you are right, it would also be great for them to have their own token, monetizing their own games. If Ubisoft is really keen on doing this, I'm sure many of the big names in the gaming industry would follow suit. Grin

that's it's good if they are able to make their own tokens for their game because it can improve development and makegame player even more interested in playing it. but now there are many game-based platforms in crypto that are unsuccessful and only have a few fans. I hope that Ubisoft can launch their own tokens and have many enthusiasts.
I think it's a good thing if ubisoft can launch their own tokens and it's true that you say that many crypto-based games don't work as expected and only have a few fans, but I think if the game is a very exciting game for played and can make people interested to play it, especially the collaboration game which of course they will invite their friends to play, I think this will make the game have a lot of fans later.

The company is pretty huge and maybe they are looking for a good platform to operate their gaming brands and to offer venture with these platfoem. Interesting. I actually wasn't aware that Ubisoft was in a position that supported blockchain tech, and even though this article is clearly also a little advertisement towards Bitcoin Cash, especially being published by Bitcoin.com, the company being seemingly open-minded towards blockchain integration with other non blockchain-related experts being involved too is a great thing in my eyes. This is also one of the bigger game companies in recent times that I can recall really supporting blockchain-related technology too, while I recall Valve simply allowed people to buy games and steam cash with Bitcoin before pulling that option many months ago.

I think we misleadingly incorporated what tgey adopt to their  business which is the blockchain startup teachnology to cryptocurrency. Because it doesn't exactly mean that if they will adopt blockchain, so as the crypto, we are just really bound to these idea that needs to be corrected because we need to understand technology even better for us to be involved in development. Though, I think it is quite normal for companies now to adopt blockchain technology, since it will make their system even more secured.

It will be also a good thing to see that if ubisoft will be also creating their own company. Blockchain and crypto can bring real life interaction to the game.

Crypto currency is more useful in any games even for mobile games so i will not surprise if this things happen and many games company adopted crypto currency to use as thier online game money. Than having a diamond dias gold or any money games you called it, it is more useful for them to use blockhain technology.

That's a great news. In fact, most of the game developing company should already start support cryptocurrency as it is one of the most burning and popular currency in this current world.

Probably the most obvious way for cryptocurrency to slot into the games industry as it stands is as a replacement for traditional card-based online transactions. Developers could end their dependence on external payment mechanisms by creating their own, entirely new online currencies, which players would then use to buy gear and cosmetics, both from each other and the devs. It would mean an added degree of control for the developer and, perhaps most enticingly, an end to the vagaries of regional pricing, with the price of everything being measured in the game’s own currency.
