The guy could do acted with poor character in a crisis but the question is why would be do something illegal when he was making so much doing things legally?
The third fact no one gets in this forum is Japan is in many ways a vassal country of America. When it needed someone to buy its treasuries recently of course they ended up in Japan. So what you are looking at is the U.S. System over reaching to quash Bitcoin.......and you dumbasses are celebrating?
As we don't know the facts, this can only be considered pure speculation. The things we know for certain are that he was in charge, he failed his customers (either through malice or ineptitude), he profited at their expense. Regardless of how or why gox failed, this is not the type of behaviour we should be encouraging as a community. Also, if someone has been arrested, that means there's probably evidence of wrongdoing on their part. Why not let them do their job and investigate what happened?
If any other "bricks and mortar" business failed and the customers lost most or all of their money, no one would be excusing the bosses of that company because there's a remote possibility that a government agency had an involvement.
