So you're believing that all this happened in an attempt to reduce the world population? Does this argument sound plausible and logical to you? Turkey has a population of over 80 million, yet you're claiming that reducing the world population by a few thousand would make such a difference? I find it completely disrespectful towards those suffering to come up with something so meaningless. Researchers had already warned about a possible earthquake because, as the previous poster already mentioned, Turkey is in the middle of three tectonic plates. Unfortunately, their buildings weren't up to safety standards and collapsed, taking thousands of lives with them.

He is actually serious!  It is only by mere coincidence that Turkiye (this is the official name of "Turkey") is in the middle of 3 tectonic plaques, has had documented earthquakes since the year 17 AD and that provoking an earthquake would require a level of energy that is not manageable as of today without nuclear weapons.

If the subtitles are right, she says this earthquake was just a planned act to reduce the world population further. The official numbers right now say there are about 20k dead people but I am guessing the real number will be around 200k when the counting is over.

There are people who are tempted by conspiracy theory and every time they try to attribute everything to evil people who want to destroy our beautiful world. This is absolutely wrong thinking and has nothing to do with what is going on in reality. America is an ally of Turkey within NATO, and the common interests between the two countries are very strong.

What has killed people in Turkey is the indifference of building contractors and state engineers charged with checking safety conditions. They are partners in a system of corruption that does not take into account the natural and geological characteristics of the region, which is known to be an active earthquake zone.

For once in my lifetime, I actually believed that you posted something serious to give your condolences for the dead. However, I was terribly wrong. Even earthquakes are a conspiracy theory to you. People always find reasons to speak badly about others. The question is if the US is punishing Turkey for its support for Russia what is the crime of the rebel-controlled northwest area? These areas are friendly with the US and its allies, so what happened? I know they would say they were also targeted to avoid suspicion. All these conspiracy theories are open lies. Everyone knows that Turkey is sitting in an area prone to earthquakes and it is not the first time it is happening. People should stop using such tragic event to scare cheap political points.

For a moment I thought this was going to be a clean thread without discussion on conspiracy theories, but I guess I was wrong.
One needs to wonder that if the United States of America actually has secret weapons that are able to direct earthquakes of such magnitudes towards their adversaries (and perhaps more), then why would countries like North Korea or even Venezuela are a problem to such advanced military arsenal? There was a great natural disaster. The impact of this disaster was so big because the authorities didn't listen to the warnings of the scientists. Now we need to heal these wounds and fix the mistakes of politicians. No one has time to waste with such empty conspiracy theories. You can continue to believe nonsense by looking at them in your comfortable location outside the earthquake zone.

Same said the US. Since the US has weather and earthquake machines like HAARP, why aren't they using them on Russia? The reason is kinda like why we aren't in formal nuclear war with Russia. The whole thing is a chess game between two countries, and they play it where it seems to be best for them. Things like nukes and HAARP aren't the moves to make on each other just yet.

As the video says, Russia has its own weather and earthquake devices that it could use in retaliation. In addition, the Turkish land area is much more unstable, so it's much easier to make the weapons work there.

Whether or not things like earthquakes can be triggered, or even weather related events.. I'm not quite sure why they wouldn't have just aimed a weapon like this at Russia.

This was a natural disaster. Scientists have been warning the people all the time but greedy homebuilders and mayors didn’t listen. They kept building shitty weak houses and the inspectors approved these projects because they were also being bribed.
