It has been five years by now since the very first Bitcoin Saigon meetup in November of 2014 when the "early adopters", Diana, Dominik, and Khoa turned their idea of a local meeting place and group to discuss all matters Bitcoin & related topics into reality.
Thanks to the support of Officience in our early days we found an early home for our first couple of events - at a time when hosting a Bitcoin Event was still considered a "risky undertaking" for most organizations due to the bad reputation, it had in the media and elsewhere in society at the time.
We would like to take the opportunity and thank the team of Officience from our heart to be the forward-thinking ones who took the plunge at a time when nobody else dared to stick their head out on these matters - without you guys we might never have gotten off the ground.
Now it is time to celebrate!
After hundreds of meetups, social gatherings and more (with the special highlight of BlockFin Asia back in 2016 ) and having over the years certainly attracted a 4-digit crowd of different individuals to our events - the 5 Year Party is officially on!
We are having guests coming down from all across Asia - many of them involved since many years into pioneering organizations and firms who helped to build out this ecosystem at a time when... - there was no ecosystem yet.
All of our speakers have been entering Bitcoin in 2014 and earlier - and it is probably the most "Bitcoin OG" line-up Vietnam has been seeing so far!
During the event, we will be wandering through a lot of the fundamentals which make Bitcoin tick & work the way it does... - and also looking forward, where it might be going from here.
If Bitcoin is your cup of tea or if you are genuinely interested in learning more about the undisputed "King of Cryptocurrencies" (and why this is the case) - we hope to be able to welcome you on the 29th of November for our special event in Saigon!
