First I've heard too. Links OP?

OK, here is their site: http://www.btclondon.com/

Tuesday, July 2, 2013. "It is an invitation-only event with an expected 200 attendees and is London’s first big Bitcoin conference."

The organiser is Pamir Gelenbe, who is also a venture partner at Hummingbird Ventures. “We hope to bring together entrepreneurs, VC investors and folks from hedge funds who want to learn about bitcoins as an asset class…we really want to focus on the business side of Bitcoin as we don’t think there has been an event like this before.”

Speakers include venture capitalist Stefan Glaenzer, BitInstant CEO Charlie Shrem, BitStamp CEO Nejc Kodrič, and CoinDesk’s own Shakil Khan.

It looks to me as if it would probably be well worth going to if you're a BTC business or VC, but probably not for non-business bitcoiners. But I can't really tell because I haven't read any independent views on it yet.

I would consider going to that one.

But with the lack of exchanges in the UK those that live there have said that Bitcoin is not too prominant.

All I've seen on the interwebs about it is supportive (advertisements and press-release churnalism) so I'm asking here to get arguments and counterarguments from both sides.

For who is it worth going to or not and why?

Thanks.
