20% isn't that bad because they're not keeping the 80% for themselves
It's in their best interest to make their token/platform succeed

So this is how the coins will be distributed.

Total Supply   1 Billion, of which 20% are for Token Sale.
The rest are allocated to a Team Pool (10%), a Unikrn Betting Reserve (15%), Marketing & Partnerships (15%), Development & Contractors (20%), and Company Cold Storage (20%).

Any thoughts on this?
Then it is a scam simple as that, I do not have a problem if the devs keep 10% or something similar because that also means they want the project to be successful but they are going to keep 80% of the coins? Then that is completely ridiculous, I hope the coin fails and all those big shots lose their money, it is incredible they think they can get away with that.

Their token distr. is similar to alot of ICO's. The onloy difference is the betting reserve which I think would be goo in the long term. That can stabilize the market and price

Investing in this coin will just make them richer.
You are totally donating your money to these rich guys..

Investors does not have any benefit from this

Investing money in any coin will make the creators of that coin richer. I understand that they are only selling 20% of coins in ICO but its not like they are keeping the other 80% for their own pockets.

Do you understand how big sports betting and online gambling in general is? Countries without legal casinos have no other choice than to play online.

This is an already functional esports casino, and all they are doing is adding a crypto currency for betting.

I feel this is better than investing in any of the 13757363 other coins out there where the devs start with what seems like a great plan but never deliver any real product.

If none of that interests you, then just the celebrity exposure should be enough to make a small profit in the short term and cash out if you feel like the project hasnt lived up to your expectations.

To each his own and DYOR, but you should take in all of these factors before coming to a decision.

And hey throwing a couple hundred bucks here and there doesnt hurt. Only what you can afford  Cool

Yes, I agree with this. Any ICO raising millions is making money, but when looking at casinos and betting, there's a lot of floating capital reserve that they need to maintain. Especially at the scale they're already operating in, I wouldn't blame them for setting the market cap high. And, another factor to consider that that they are trying to be THE token of the esports realm. That's another level that I'm investing in. This is a long-term call.

UNIKOIN

It's open for public sale now. It's the Mark Cuban backed e-sports based crypto.

the CEO of Unikrn stated that Unikrn has over 4 million monthly active users and around 90,000 users who have placed bets on the platform.

I have done a shit load of research in them and they look pretty good, on paper.

Investors who invested in Unikrn in its Series A include: Advancit Capital (Shari Redstone), Binary Capital, Mark Cuban Companies (Mark Cuban), Freeland Ventures (Elisabeth Murdoch), Sound Ventures (Ashton Kutcher, Guy O’Seary), 500 Startups, Tabcorp Inc. and Hyberspeed Ventures (Erick Miller).

Those are pretty big names.

I have a $100 bucks I was thinking on putting in the token?? (not much, but it's what I have Smiley

What are your views?
It might not be worth the couple of hundred bucks. I would only invest a number that is under a hundred because things might not go the same direction that you think.

they want to raise 100 million and only 20% of the tokens will be sold for the ICO? if this is true thats one of the biggest scams you can ask for, i dont care who backs the coin dont fall for this trap you will not get your moneys worth expect to take a loss if you invest in this project.

From what I can gather, there will be 2 types of coins. Unikoin gold and unikoin silver. Gold will obviously be the more valuable of the two. I see the price going up maybe 5x to 10x once the coins start being used on the platform. Depends on alot of factors and follow thru, good marketing etc. Their sports betting business is already functional. Now they will integrate the new cyrptocurrency with their platform. I think its worth a small speculative investment.

They're raising $100 million.  Not a lot of return potential when you start with that high of a market cap
This, if you care about making money with your investments then investing in such a coin does not seem like a good business, it is not going to grow too much taking into account the huge amount invested, it could go higher because of the hype, but hype is not enough to keep the boat afloat, besides with such big whales they will be able to manipulate the price of the coin at will and that is never a good thing.
