Please don't use an exchange as a wallet - they are not wallet services.
Bitcoins can be stored on a piece of paper that you put in a safe - or on a usb stick.

As soon as you place bitcoins in the hands of someone else they cease to be yours.
The whole point of bitcoin is that you don't need a third party.

This cannot be echoed enough.
