It's impossible since each transaction/data/block transmitted between nodes will be verified before it's confirmed as valid transaction/data/block and rebroadcast to another nodes. Furthermore, even if the virus code somehow stored in the blockchain, it's still useless since it can't run anyway Tongue
But, it's possible in blockchain with smart-contract if the hacker could find and exploit bugs within the smart-contract language, but i doubt such bug exist.

As I know it's impossible because data is blocked. That's why the technology is called so. Also if one of the blocks will contain additional data with virus, other blocks will detect that. Of course, hackers may be working on viruses for blockchain, but for now as I know there are no threats.

I agree with this idea. However, with technology development, nothing is impossible. I still hope that does not happen.

Viruses on a blockchain is technically impossible with current tech.

Let’s hope it never happens though.

I hope it will not exist, this will be a big disaster and I'm sure Bitcoin will be ruined.
remember the case of ransomeware, bitcoin holders will feel panic and cause prices to fall.
I still believe this is hard to do.

You also have to take into consideration that you're only asking about miners. Most, if not all, of the miners are in pools and the pools are, more often than not, in large industrial mining facilities, for Bitcoin. So to have an attack, virus, on a miner you could, theoretically, take down an asic or two before the staff at these facilities figure out what's going on. But you won't take down the whole pool. Once they do, they'll get new asics and get rid of the infected ones. As for Bitcoins themselves, I don't see a virus infecting a Bitcoin and then distributing among the populace. But I could be wrong there. Undecided
