We need to wait for some time, to see what exactly Visa is trying to achieve, are they going to launch their own product/platform or partnering someone else (like Eth).
Agree let's wait and see, grab the opportunities if Visa really use etherium blockchain in their card and payment system. I think we can't judge this will fail or will succes. let be opportunis this time the cryptocommunity will replace finance role before the banks take all crypto and blockchain asset into their system.

How many big name groups does it take for a person to buy a cup of coffee with crypto?
Ethereum uses a list of names as a reason to invest in them, while the big names for sure don't need the small guy to make a profit. Ethereum needs the small guy's money though.

Even if VISA did this it means.. IBM all over again.

And buddy lied.. Those companies are not backing fuck all.

Take Microsoft for example..
They simply decided to permit ETH shit on their Azure hosting service.
And IBM looked at it before then said they would maybe make their own coin.
That is not being presented honestly  Roll Eyes

Doesn't stop idiots from screaming IBM is "using" ETH though.

I'm sick of watching idiots lie their ass off about ETH the ICO scheme coin fuel tokens app's platform for profits.

I warned you all lots last couple years that the big companies would see this then make their own version and time was running out..
And as usual my predictions are 100% accurate.

This might be a win for the original chain, Ethereum classic. Ethereum's blockchain has already been abused and bloated enough that exposes it to its own and worse scalability problems. If Visa wants to use it as their testnet to deploy their own experiments, they are most welcome.

Prove it.. this reeks like total bullshit.

Yee haw ? really ?  Cheesy

Why in the flying god damn fuck would Visa need to distribute APP's via a block chain ?
What a load of bullshit.

I see no proof or proper references to any of this.
I bet anything it's faked.

Oh and "Ethereum is backed by banks, jp morgan, microsoft & other giants."
Noooooope.. pure fucking lies.  Roll Eyes

For all those hardcore ethereum bugs who got stopped out at $13 during last week's 96% flash crash (and in some cases as low as $0.10) we have some good news: Visa wants to hire a BlockChain engineer who is "experienced with Ethereum and blockchain architecture to be a part of team tasked with building distributed application."

There is just one problem: while we are confident compensation will be generous, according to the qualification requirements, "total Industry experience must be 8+ years" which is about twice as long as Ethereum has been in existence, and roughly as long as the very concept of blockchain has existed: perhaps Visa is only seeking to hire Satoshi?

By they way, did we mention that Visa is now working on Blockchain technology, is building a "distributed application" and the successful candidate "will be working in VISA Global Commercial Payments area, team will be building a new payment rail leveraging Blockchain technology and distributed ledger."

If Visa is indeed contemplating shifting to blockchain, the recent gains in ETH - if only as the rest of the world rushes in over all the "blockchain" buzz-  which has resulted in a 40x return YTD, blowing away every single other asset class, will pale in comparison to what may be coming. Which reminds us of our February post "Ethereum To Soar After JPMorgan, Intel, Microsoft And Others Form Blockchain Alliance." It did: back then Ethereum was $13.

Ethereum is backed by banks, jp morgan, microsoft & other giants. Looks like visa is adding their name to the list of conglomerates affiliated with it.

How many big name groups does it take for a person to buy a cup of coffee with crypto? This is getting ridiculous.
