Before deciding to invest in VisnCoin (old name, VisaCoin), please spend a few minutes to understand what has been happening after substantial number of people have invested in this VisnCoin. I am one of those, and probably will be a victim.

Here is a real story with concrete evidence, as record of Blockchain cannot tell lies. You can check out evidence by clicking the links provided below.

The Visacoin developer has been changing the IPO rules, and keep receiving investment even the proposed number of investors have reached.

The developer has got the time to make a website, changed the coin name, registered as a new member, but can't even spend half a minute to correct my investment figure in the IPO summary table.
My investment is 2.5 BTC, but only 1 BTC is shown.  I have informed the VisaCoin developer about my investments several times in the past a few days.
In the Visacoin thread, other investors have suffered from similar problems.

Using the provided block explorer https://blockchain.info/address/1PmsmFaNQraZVbBv3Q13jmyucXVJfUo4Hb?offset=50&filter=0
Eveybody can check using original IPO BTC account number: 1PmsmFaNQraZVbBv3Q13jmyucXVJfUo4Hb
Everybody can check using my BTC account number: 13gVWinUNnqAEDrnEDLwjeVPoLet4K8CBL.
Everybody can see that I have investigated two times (1.5 BTC, 1 BTC) with a total of 2.5 BTC.

Then Everybody can check my investment record (row 54, Ir**Ang) the IPO with the following link:
Google: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApjQ5TKiRAK0dGdFZW1TRENFbC1Hc3Y5OWxaemtGS1E&usp=sharing

Here is original link of Visacoin
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=384097.0/
You can also see that now they changed the BTC account for receiving IPO.
The irresponsible attitude of Visacoin team has made me as well as other investors worry whether VisaCoin is just a scam!

See? No actual concept at all, just a bunch of vacuous vague crap implying that maybe if they don't run with the money they might be able to pay people to sit down and try to think of something to do.

I feel like banging my head against a wall sometimes. Some people should not be here. It's their money to lose, but good grief, are people so ready to put such blind faith in things like this? It truly boggles my mind.

Bitcoin is the leader because it is so far ahead of all the other coins.  It has been supported longer and has a lot of "official" support by developers which makes it way more appealing, it's basically the "genesis" block for all coins if you will, and the network support for it is way larger than anything else because it grew in a period of people purchasing asics back before the 800$ bitcoins.

That doesn't mean that Bitcoin is is actually better technologically than any other alt coins.  A lot of coins offer a lot of new innovation and improved features.

Peercoin for example, consumes far less energy than bitcoin and uses a hybrid of POW and POS meaning that the network is more maintained by coin holders than coin miners, and that hybrid reduces the risk of 51% attacks.

Look at transaction times for bitcoin coin.  Nobody likes to see such loooong transaction times compared to what they are used to today. Several coins already offer better transaction speeds and build innovative features by utilizing the networks themselves.

Curecoin seeks to use all that wasted network hash power for solving problems in the science and mathematics communities.  Prime coin already does this as well by trying to find more prime numbers than we know of (although the actual value in prime coin doing this is debatable.. )

Namecoin network has an open source key/value registration and transfer system.  You can choose a domain name on a network that can't be taken down.  Or create secure web addresses.

Datacoin offers data storage on the network which is retrieved via hash information

Freicoin offers the idea of demurrage fees for people holding onto their coins for too long. (Features based on how we believe our money should be handled, just as important as the key concepts that bitcoin offers- decentralization, low transaction fees and zero ability to print money causing inflation.

Anoncoin seeks to offer complete anonymity on their network for whatever it is you wish to do.

Lottocoin offers unregulated gambling not subject to the laws and taxes we see for gambling today.

And the list goes on.  So to say that bitcoin is the ONLY choice when it comes to a coin is a false notion.  Yes bitcoin is the only coin of immense value right now because of the way it has been accepted, and it is not for or against any small subset feature like lottocoin or sexcoin, but that doesn't mean that the other coins don't have value.

And I would argue that some of the innovations that other coins are offering, like peercoin or any PoS coin for that matter that won't cause as much energy waste are going to be somewhat of an industry standard in the future, as these issues are just as important as the key focus we're trying to achieve with cryptocurrency in the first place.

Don't cont out other altcoins yet.  They might not REPLACE bitcoin any time soon, but I believe in the future as we see coins get a good handle on how the number of coins should be minted up to a point, that the coins offering that AND better technology have a clear advantage of pulling ahead.  It might be slow and it might be rough.. but I think they will eventually take the lead.

What concept?

So far there is no concept to it beyond send money and maybe when I am rich I might choose to hire someone to look into making something, but probably since I am anonymous it will be simpler to just run with the money, especially when you bear in mind there are people out there with actual real plans and ideas who are likely to come up with something real, though I guess maybe when they do we can clone it or something...

I think Bitcoin can do everything any of these new coins can do - they are simply not needed!

Well... bitcoin is a bit slow. Furthermore, it is facing 51% attack!!!! 2nd generation coins can solve this problem. Furthermore, it takes time (can be years) to mine >50% of coins for each new cryptocoin.

Bitcoins are the number one Cryptocurrency and basically this question was already answered many times but these altcoins
dont differ from bitcoin , the only ones that differ is like feathercoin and a couple of others, bitcoin should always be the leader
and it currently is.

Anybody has joined this IPO? I think VISAcoin is an elegant concept. Hope it can be an improved NXT version.
