1. legalise drugs, making them free to obtain - obamacare, check
2. remove copyright restrictions to legalise file sharing - NSA can legally copy private and corporate data, check
3. allow forgeries into circulation - U.S mint endlessly printing money backed by nothing, check

You could also just make a poll, like the rest of us Tongue

I agree though, and nice experiment but don't think many will follow me by actually sending something.

i think people outside of this forum dont care much about internal polls here.
and the votes could be interpreted as a consensus among bitcoinholders if a considerable fraction participates.

about the begging comment:
if 1 million adresses send 10^-8 btc it will amount .01 btc..
one could also post messages which is signed by the private key or something like that but this way is much simpler

a lot of power is transferred to criminally minded people via bitcoin.
for this reason i think it makes sense for law makers to do the following tings:

1.legalize the whole "drugs economy". let people be responsible for themselves and dont give criminally minded people the opportunity to easily gain so much money. making drugs illegal drives the price up and turns poor or greedy people into criminals. i believe the high prices of drugs has already made a lot of damage especially in  countries like mexico and afghanistan.

2.legalize making copies of any data (music, movies, ebooks, information in general..). let artist, authors and companies protect their work themselves! the internet has made it possible for people to quickly gain global attention with their works but it also made it very hard to contain the spread of their works. governments should not make people sharing information with their peers "criminals". if private enteties are unable to protect their information then its their fault. governments should not intervene and give proffessional criminals the opportunity to earn money so easily by illegaly selling "protected" data.

3.legalize forgeries. let reputable brands take care of these issues themselves by advising  their (would be) customers to check the authenticity of a product by using unique number codes or some other technology. dont give criminally minded people such an easy opportunity to earn bitcoins and gain power.

some security issues:
-educate people about computer related security risks (ransomware, phishing, how to keep bitcoins safely..)(but i guess they will learn it if it becomes more relevant)
-try to prevent kidnappings, extortions and contract killings. it has never been easier to earn money with these activities!..

i think cryptocurrencies are here to stay. if bitcoins are destroyed by corporations or governments or fail because of technical issues a better technology will emerge. they can make human civilization function much more efficiently but we should think about the downsides and take action!

im not sure if this is already a common use but i will try the following experiment:

if you agree with this statement especially with the three points send an arbritrary amount to this btc address:
1KeHXv5kJ6s9zfHD9nYtZkMQQXKk2Ue51t
if you disagree send an arbitrary amount to this adress:
16fptpuvgbzqqiybj6xBgtPmrxKHJfFQxX

please dont send much money. it should be just a symbolic amount.
but i will assure you i have the private keys and the satoshis will not be lost.
everyone can track the results on sites like http://blockchain.info, http://blockexplorer.com or other tools and draw their own conclusions. i suppose it would make sense to consider the history of the voting adresses when evaluating the result. for example the account balance before the time of this post or date of first transaction may be a valuable indicator for significance of a vote.
maybe this will gain some attention make a difference.
