Now I wonder if buying cd keys is safe - as I am afraid they could be blocked in the same way. :/

that's true ,this kind of fraud selling is very common on carding world and sometimes they makes the price 80-90% off due to risk for being blocked by the site if the site detect a fraudulent activities,most of them use people's credit card which is illegal
