A VPN can't always be used to bypass geographical restrictions and get full access to services such as gambling. Most gambling platforms that have restrictions for certain countries will ask their customers for KYC verification at some point, and that is when the people who are using VPNs will be in trouble because you can't verify your account if you are from a country that is restricted and if you have money in your account, you can't withdraw them without completing KYC verification.
Guess what, they can still trick the casinos by buying someone else KYC, so whenever the casinos ask to submit KYC, they don't have to worry since they already have a personal information of someone who live in that country.

Of course there's always other risk of buying a fake KYC or there's other account using a same KYC, but it's what it's. KYC can't be used to fight against fake accounts, moreover we have AI that you can train and develop using someone else face.
Yes, some individuals purchase fake identities that have been obtained through illegal means. Even if they can use such identities to pass the KYC verification process, there are still restrictions. In the event of any issues arising, like the one mentioned in the OP, they will have limited options to take action.

VPN is something that is popular and widely used, including for gambling. Regardless of privacy issues or access to sites that are prohibited in a country. Regardless of whether a casino's policy allows the use of vpn or not, are there any differences in protection for gamblers when they come from countries where gambling is legal?
What kind of protection you are looking? If you agree with the terms of a regulated casino, they have the right to know your IP address and the location you are accessing it, but that doesn't mean they have the right to share it without your consent, they should still value the confidentiality of that information as they are also required to do so by their regulators.

Gambling using vpn to gain privacy is only applicable on sites that aren't regulated IMO.

Such as protection for gamblers who are cheated by casinos because their games are considered suspicious or because their accounts are blocked unilaterally by the casino. If yes, how do report it? if there isn't then there is no difference between countries that legalize gambling and those that don't
That could really happen, you can't argue with it as they know what they are doing. You can report if you have a legal basis, but if there's none, you just have the accept the consequences of your action. We've heard a lot of stories like this, that's why as much as possible avoid using VPN to bypass restriction.

Crypto gambling space is a wild west! A lot of crazy things happened before, so if we can draw any conclusion it's that sometimes it can be difficult for the player to get justice. Those who live in well-arranged countries can turn to some institutions I guess, but for many of us who live in fucked-up countries the only way to for solving issues is by reporting it to this forum, CasinoGuru, and AskGamblers.

I have been using VPN for a while, but just to play some providers. I only used it in casinos that allow VPN and I never had any problems. But as some other members pointed out using VPN can be a double-edged sword, that's why I don't use it anymore. I play providers that are allowed for me, I simply don't wish to get into a situation where a casino can decide to just ban me because my country is restricted.

Those who use VPNs to access casino platforms and aren't asked for KYC verification are lucky. Some casinos don't ask for KYC verification unless they suspect something or see something unusual. So, if you are making small deposits and withdrawals, you might get away with it, but the odds for that are very tiny.

It goes back to the individual again, even though the prohibition is clear in our country, there are still many people gambling, but just for entertainment it doesn't matter, especially if it doesn't make us stressed. Just enjoy it.
Yes only as a means for entertainment and stress relief, Everything is indeed banned in our country.
But some gambling apps still seem to be allowed and it's just considered a regular game so there is no blocking.

Most casino prohibit use of VPNs because they think or know certain people try to circumvent some security measures in order to abuse the casino. if you see them talk against VPN use in their ToS. Then you should never bother using any at all or else you will end up being asked to KYC and then have your account blocked.

If you care about privacy, then don't use a casino that asks for KYC.
I once got a few messages from one of the casinos even the use of a VPN is prohibited according to the ToS,
but because they are quite new and need more members, they allowed me to play using a VPN.

It did defy the ToS rules for the sake of adding more users.
Most users are in zones that prohibit gambling and block it.

and for KYC that must be applied, of course, it will avoid it because it will be related to privacy.
The use of KYC also follows government rules so that it is not used as a place for money laundering,
quite dilemmatic but the plague of the rules that must be obeyed.

The thing is that international gambling sites are exempt from the law let's be real here, and countries who ban gambling whether online or offline are doing so with the fact that some casinos online are also operating within their territories, which would effectively ensure they're not beyond the long arm of the law when shit gets real and they receive an arrest warrant. So you can't fault these countries for not being able to do something. Plus I don't think reputable casinos are just gonna ban you out of nowhere, pretty sure you would need to break a few of their bylaws before you even receive a ban warning, so when your account gets banned I pretty much assume that 9 times out of 10 you had it coming.

As far as I know not many countries have specific authorities for gambling but if I'm not mistaken the UK has quite strict regulations regarding gambling and perhaps they have certain protections for their gamblers.

Like in Indonesia, the government prohibits gambling, but on many gambling sites Indonesia is not a prohibited country, perhaps this happens because Indonesia does not have special regulations regarding online gambling. Maybe you need to ask in this thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5482508 . As far as I know, a casino will have a bad rating if it is frequently reported on or gets complaints from its users and that will make the casino have a bad rating, but I have not seen any casino sued by its users through legal channels for allegedly defrauding its users.

I think there will be differences.

If you were ever asked to be KYC'd then you would be stuffed if you were operating a VPN. Most casinos in that instance would probably withhold funds from you and claim that you lied about your country of residence (even though they should have checked prior to even accepting a deposit from you).

I would strongly recommend not using VPN to gamble at crypto casinos for this reason, unless you are sure that you are guaranteed to not be KYC'd.

Each casino's policy is to allow or prohibit the use of VPNs. We can ask each casino before we use a VPN so that we don't experience any problems. Some casinos require a direct connection from our IP to the casino to verify our account is the same as our IP. And after that, we can use a VPN or our original IP. But some casinos prohibit the use of VPN for various reasons,, which is what we need to ask each casino. If a country prohibits gambling, people in that country certainly cannot gamble, and they will use VPNs to visit its casinos, and look for casinos that allow VPN use. Each gambler will choose to use a VPN or not to use a VPN because they have their own reasons.

So that's all? countries where gambling is legal do not have laws or institutions to protect gamblers from online casino fraud? So how does a casino license work if gamblers cannot report or protect their gambling activities?

There are laws that protect gamblers from online casino fraud but the problem is tracing the perpetrators.  This is also one reason why the government does not hesitate to shut down any illegal online casino operations if ever they found out that the casino audience is from their country and yet they do not have any license to cater to their citizen.

If the difference is only about KYC, then I think gambling from a prohibited country and not doesn't seem to have a significant difference, and VPN can be used to access gambling sites by changing the IP address

The implementation of region restriction is not for the players protection but rather for the casino protection.  Since a country deemed gambling as illegal, operating or catering their citizen means the casino is violating their law and by that, the government can go after the casino and file cases that can penalize the casino owner.

There are very few ways to report such things unfortunately, since most crypto casinos are based at offshore jurisdictions like small islands or small countries far from most customers countries, providing poor regulation and protection for customers. So you can try to report to their gambling authorities but it could more efficient to report your dispute here, in the Scam Accusations section, on specialized sites like Casino Guru or Ask Gamblers, on review ones like Trust pilot, or on social medias.

VPN can give the protection and make you access online gambling sites even when it is illegal and prohibited in your country. VPN does this by masking your real IP address and making it appear as if you are accessing the internet from another country where gambling is legal. By connecting to a VPN server in a country where online gambling is allowed, you can bypass these restrictions and access gambling websites.

However, it is good to respect the laws of your country regarding gambling as using VPN to engage in gambling activities can attract punishment if caught because sometimes your anonymity might not be guaranteed.

Using a VPN to access gambling sites is already wrong, why should you expect to get protection from the wrong things?
It's as if we are illegal immigrants who need to find work in a country, then we are deceived by the boss. After that, we ask for justice in that country with our status as illegal immigrants?
Of course, you yourself will be imprisoned by the country, not because of fraud, but because the way you entered was wrong, namely through unofficial immigration.
The analogy is the same as that, so in my opinion it is clear that there is no protection for members who are registered in a country that prohibits gambling sites.

I am using a VPN when surfing the internet, but never when I gamble. It's quite easy to use free VPNs when being online to get another layer of protection. Especially when visiting some sketchy websites or making some downloads than could lead to issue, I find VPNs very helpful. When I gamble I am more afraid of the negative consequences of using VPNs than the benefits they give me. Which is why I avoid them. Gambling is legal in my country, but still some casinos are not operating here. It would be nice to check out their websites, but using money and VPNs together makes me a bit uncomfortable. What if I win big only for the casino to lock my account? This could lead to a long dispute and I am not sure if I have any legal loophole to exploit. The first contact should always be the customer support and see how we can fix the issue. In my case I try to avoid the issue completely and won't be using a VPN.

I agree. While VPNs have legitimate privacy uses, using it with gambling sites can actually cause more problems than it solves.  Many sites explicitly ban VPNs in their terms of service because unfortunately they get abused by some folks trying to cheat or abuse bonuses.  So if you care about playing by the rules, best to avoid VPNs altogether when depositing or playing games.

It's better if you check the terms before using VPN, if they allow it means you might not have a problem (if we talk the relation between you and the site). But when it comes to report the casino to authority, I don't think you will able to change anything since online casino isn't completely regulated and backed by strong laws.

You may be able to prove the casino cheated on you but then you will also have to face the law.
In another words, you won... but at what cost?

If you want to be safe when using a gambling site, you should really avoid ever using a VPN, as you will often find that they are explicitly restricted and forbidden in many terms. They unfortunately are often used by cheaters and abusers to hide, which makes them a target for casino companies who can only block them to avoid issues. They are often also shared between many users, which mean you might get accidentally mistaken for someone breaking the rules as there are few ways to identify you reliably outside of the IP address. If a casino does not want your business, because of jurisdiction limitations, you might set yourself up for failure when trying to cash out when you have to supply identity documents that say you are in a country they've banned from accessing the site.

Example is that gambling is banned in China, but some Chinese are gambling online in foreign countries and also in their country. VPN is used to block the IP used. You will see some gamblers that read the ToS of a gambling site and if VPN is allowed, they might gamble on the site from countries that gambling is not legal. That is just it. This can be common to gambling sites that are not well known and not regulated.
Gambling site that are not well known, and/or not regulated usually don't have any restrictions when it comes to countries that are accepted to play on that casino and countries that are not allowed, for what I do know is that, with a casino getting an operating licenses and becoming regulated; comes with restrictions of certain regions or jurisdictions where their operating license does not cover, and does not permit them to operate there.

And also, same way, VPN  usage is also very common with casinos that are not regulated as well, since the use of VPN on such site is possibly meaningless aside from the fact that it's being used to hide the gamblers real location or ip.
But on the other hand, some regulated casinos still allow the use of VPN as along as the gambler is not playing from a restricted area or jurisdiction, as anytime the casino suspects that the gambler is playing from a restricted place, they may ask such player to pass kyc verification, and once the player submits his or her documents and the casino confirms that the player is actually playing from a place that they have restricted, then such players account will be banned and funds in it confiscated.

A VPN, or virtual private network, is a very useful thing on the internet. I'm sure many users here have already stated what VPN is used for. It could be used to change your IP, depending on what country you've chosen. And yes, VPN can be used to bypass your IP, so if the casino website doesn't allow a specific country or bans that country from accessing the website, you can bypass it by using VPN and changing your IP and country identity. It may be safe to use as it is a private network, but you still need to be careful because some casinos prohibit the use of VPNs. So before using a VPN, make sure that there are no rules or regulations about the usage of VPNs, or else you will be banned from that website. Also, still add more extra income because even if you use a VPN, there is no guarantee that you will be protected from viruses or malware on the internet.

When the casino starts asking KYC the gambler who stays in the country where gambling is illegal will learn the difference. No difference at all and he will be banned instantly when they see the documents he is a national from a country that bans gambling.

But because some casino allows gamblers to withdraw certain amounts without KYC, the VPN users are fine. Once casinos ask KYC regardless of how much you have in the account, I guess users from those countries will start to be lesser and lesser.

I think we have three scenarios here that should be taken into account by the gamblers when it comes to the gambling sites and the VPN usage.

1) If the gambling site prohibits the use of vpn, DO NOT USE VPN

2) If you live in a region where the gambling site is does not allow you to play, DO NOT USE VPNN to bypass the restrictions. As once you are caught the gambling site may block your account without refunding any money in your account.

3)If the gambling site allow the use of VPN and you are not in the restricted country, you may USE VPN to bypass the local ISP detection if your government prohibits the general accessing of all gambling sites.

I don’t consider anymore VPN as privacy purposes on casino since most of centralized casino usually apply KYC to those who win frequently with huge amount or simply a profitable gambler. I never encounter a casino with license that doesn’t apply KYC on my case. They all apply KYC once my VIP is high due to my wagering volume.

I believe the only time VPN will protect your privacy is if you are gambler that always lose and a good source of profit by the casino. This is the only account which casino doesn’t bother asking KYC details despite huge money involved.

Using VPN to access a casino which is limited to people from your country is one of the highest risk most gamblers do take especially when the casino have warned against that, they might allow you to go home with some little winnings but the moment you have a big win which they can’t allow you go with that’s when you will start having issues, and to start with you are operating their illegally so you don’t even have some right to file any case against them and if your country is also not in support of it you can’t take them their so it’s a complete lose with no one to come to the gamblers rescue at that point in time.

Aside from the privacy I don’t really know what vpn helps you with. Most people that use VPN to access gambling site: which is not advisable ( since you’re sharing ip addresses with several other users that might be connected to that same server).

The only way I see VPN protecting cheaters is still related to privacy since the cheaters can create multiple accounts (for casinos that are against having multiple accounts) and then use VPN to access each of them -making your ip addresses different, that’s the only cheater protection I can think of right now, but the casino system will still be able to detect if the ip keeps on changing they might request for additional verification despite them allowing vpn just to be sure that they aren’t dealing with a cheater.

Maybe you've heard about such a service as browser anti-detection and even system-wide anti-detection? This software is quite expensive, as it allows you to randomize system and browser settings. It is in great demand among cheaters. You are right that many cheaters who use VPNs use them for multi-accounts. Cheaters regularly register on gaming sites by changing their IPs, thereby posing as if they are different people. But by changing only IP addresses, it is now hardly possible to deceive the casino, which monitors every behavior of the player, so cheaters use everything in a set.

The VPN was easy to use by the gamblers, but many gamblers use the vpn to use the multiple accounts in the gambling site. But it must be omitted by the gamblers, because it was against the gambling site rule. Some gamblers use the vpn because gambling was the mostly regulated and not able to used in their country. But some bad mined gamblers who want to steal the profits of the other gamblers uses the multiple accounts in the betting to increase the chances of winning the money.

The gambling site will monitor the games of the gamblers and easy to find the people who uses the vpn in their website.Almost all the gamblers uses the vpn can be captured by the gambling site, only it take some time to find them. The gamblers also lose the money in the gambling site after they was founded using the vpn in gambling sites.

One of the things that we need to understand with VPN and its usage in casinos is that,  while some casinos may not state it clearly that they disallowed the use of VPN on their site simply because some countries may have banned the citizens unduly and at that will always be fair for the casino to allow VPN on the casino without any penalty to the players who used such tool to gain access.

But in other situations where gambling is banned in a country and at the same time,  the casino has users from that region on the banned list,  it becomes clear that the casino will have to state it clear on the site that VPN usage is not allowed and in such situation,  the gamblers will be ban if he accesses the site via VPN.
When a platform do make out such blockage then it would really be understandable  that they would really be trying out to avoid those users to play into their platform specially into those countries
which does have that banned gambling or having that restriction. They dont really like for themselves to get tagged or be attached with possible legal problems if ever there would really be some sort
of complaints or whatsoever correlated to it. It is really just that there are people who do really love on accessing these platforms despite of being blocked and this is where VPN would be kicking in.
Usually people really love on playing on a site but due to country restriction and laws then they are really that prohibited.

Each country does have their own regulations on which they would really be trying out their best on blocking out to those who are really that tending to get in.
This is why as a user and using up VPN will really be putting up your account at risks on getting locked or banned.

Hi, guys

Maybe I actually want to ask how do countries that legalize gambling protect gamblers? Does the country have a special institution to regulate gambling? Or does the state legalize gambling just to collect taxes and not pay much attention to legal protection for gamblers?

Talking about protecting gamblers, a country that has not ban gambling but have regulated it, it means they have perhaps licensed gambling companies to operate in their jurisdiction and there must be a way that gamblers have to lay reports against the gambling company if they have issues with them.

In Nigeria for example when you are talking about offline gaming and gambling, National Lottery Regulatory Commission is in charge and controls the activities of gambling. They can sanction, revoke license or prosecute criminality against the company.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/iclg.com/practice-areas/gambling-laws-and-regulations/nigeria/amp

if there is no significant difference then there is no difference from countries that prohibit gambling because VPN can be used to bypass.

VPN is mainly used to bypass the countries IP. This may not be an issue if a casino is sincere that they won't penalize when they find that out but for a casino not wanting VPN, at the request of KYC they may block the account.

Regardless of whether a casino's policy allows the use of vpn or not, are there any differences in protection for gamblers when they come from countries where gambling is legal?

Speaking to users where gambling is legal, these people used VPN not because of mainly protection but because they just want to hide their IP. There are also countries where gambling is legal but their respective ISPs do not allow connections to gambling sites, therefore, VPN is the only key to bypassing it.

Such as protection for gamblers who are cheated by casinos because their games are considered suspicious or because their accounts are blocked unilaterally by the casino. If yes, how do report it? if there isn't then there is no difference between countries that legalize gambling and those that don't

Not unless you live directly at these casinos' respective main offices, you can report them directly to the authorities at your local. But if you fail to show proof that they are scamming you, the table might be turned around and you will be the one to be sued instead and possibly pay charges.

VPN is something that is popular and widely used, including for gambling. Regardless of privacy issues or access to sites that are prohibited in a country. Regardless of whether a casino's policy allows the use of vpn or not, are there any differences in protection for gamblers when they come from countries where gambling is legal?

Such as protection for gamblers who are cheated by casinos because their games are considered suspicious or because their accounts are blocked unilaterally by the casino. If yes, how do report it? if there isn't then there is no difference between countries that legalize gambling and those that don't

I guess most people use VPN to bypass the domain ban on their geo-location. Some countries do actively block the domains associated with gambling sites and for those gambling sites that allows users to use VPN, people on those restricted nations can use VPN to change their location as somewhere else.
But many sites don't allow VPN due to the legal reasons and user using VPN are blocked creating a huge number of angry complaints when it's the users that didn't obeyed the terms.
I have also found a few large gamblers who use VPN (on allowed sites) so that no one could track their real identity. This is particular case is in the casino that don't require KYC are on chain.

Hi, guys

Maybe I actually want to ask how do countries that legalize gambling protect gamblers? Does the country have a special institution to regulate gambling? Or does the state legalize gambling just to collect taxes and not pay much attention to legal protection for gamblers? if there is no significant difference then there is no difference from countries that prohibit gambling because VPN can be used to bypass

I think, the protection for gamblers probably depends on the where casino is registered and regulated. I don't know much about that, better to ask that question in this thread: AMA: I Operate an Online Casino.

Thanks budd

You should read casino's Terms of Service and also ask their Customer Support or representatives on Bitcointalk.org whether it's allowed to use VPN for privacy protection or not. For example, Freebitco.in allows you to use VPN for privacy protection but you should be from a country where its legal for you to access freebitco.in and freebitco.in is allowed to serve you.

Have you ever used a VPN? because here in our country I have a favorite casino to play gambling at, and it is none other than BcGames, so the only sad thing is that I can't create an account on this platform. It seems that his website is blocked here in our country.

And if their website platform is really blocked here in our country, what good VPN do you think is good to use for someone like me who is in this situation in my country? Thanks for answering if you notice my question.
Before you will use VPN, you need to read about countries the gambling site is not allowing. Example is Bc.game that you mentioned:

5.2. JURISDICTIONS. Persons located in or residents of Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Costa Rica, France, Netherlands, Saba, Statia, St Martin, USA (the ”Prohibited Jurisdictions”) are not permitted make use of the Service. For the avoidance of doubt, the foregoing restrictions on engaging in real-money play from Prohibited Jurisdictions applies equally to residents and citizens of other nations while located in a Prohibited Jurisdiction. Any attempt to circumvent the restrictions on play by any persons located in a Prohibited Jurisdiction or Restricted Jurisdiction, is a breach of this Agreement. An attempt at circumvention includes, but is not limited to, manipulating the information used by BC.GAME to identify your location and providing BC.GAME with false or misleading information regarding your location or place of residence.

6. Know your Customer (“KYC”)

BC.GAME reserves the right, at any time, to ask for any KYC documentation it deems necessary to determine the identity and location of a User. BC.GAME reserves the right to restrict service and payment until identity is sufficiently determined.

Make sure that your country is not banned. You know these gambling sites are centralized.

Also make sure the gambling site do not disallow VPN.

If your country is not banned, you can use paid VPN like IPVanish or ExpressVPN. Proton VPN is also good.

The use of VPN is for the protection of our identity keeping our identity anonymous and IP address to our desired location, some casinos frown at the use of VPN on their site while others accept the use of VPN, the difference is that using VPN from a country that gambling is ban to gamble in a casino that doesn't accept the use of VPN on their site you the gambler risk losing your account at anytime and be rest assured that losing the account is same as forfeiting every cash in the account since it violates the casino's ToS.

If you are a gambler from a gambling ban country what should be expected of you using a VPN to gamble it should be on a gambling site that accept the use of VPN on their site to reduce your risk exposure as someone that is gambling from a gambling ban country. But some casinos that allows the use of VPN still don't allow people from gambling ban countries to make use of their site to avoid sanctions that may arise from the authorities.

You need to take note that when a gambling site ban a particular country from gambling in their site it's assume that they don't want to allow that particular residence to gamble over there, but when a particular country is ban their citizens from gambling in any site and, it happens that the some gambling site list that country in their list or even allows any residences from that country to gamble those who are from that country can use vpn to access that site provided that gambling site doesn't restricts those residence from accessing the site through vpn then they are free to gamble. The difference is between the gambling site and country's regulation of gambling in their jurisdiction, is country ban gambling and the gambling site list that particular country then such person can use vpn to access the site.

There are casinos that prohibit the use of VPNs while there are also casinos that are friendly with VPNs although there are exceptions where it is not recommended.
I always use Cloud WARP VPN, it does not change the IP to another country, it just hides the IP to be vague but still the location where I am, even I myself once KYC at a casino using Cloud WARP VPN, there was never a problem, because if I did not use the VPN, I could not access all crypto casino sites.

My country doesn't allow any gambling, but if it's just entertainment just playing without a lot of money being used, it's not a problem.
Gambling is not only through websites, there are many game applications that provide it, such as Higgs Domino Island with slot games that use chips.
It goes back to the individual again, even though the prohibition is clear in our country, there are still many people gambling, but just for entertainment it doesn't matter, especially if it doesn't make us stressed. Just enjoy it.

That's also how Chinese still makes money out of gambling by using Macau as a gambling hub for a lot of people. I think that even if the country of origin of the player is from a country that bans gambling, I think that they should still be allowed because they've got the VPN and in argument, they're technically or digitally in their own country gambling so they're technically and digitally allowed to gamble and that they shouldn't be punished at all, it's kind of weird that gambling industry doesn't care about this part when this could potential bring them millions of players from another country that have a strict laws against gambling, some people out there are itching to spend thousands of dollars gambling but they just can't do it because they live in a country that's not in favor of gambling, the online gambling industry is missing out by restricting players that have VPN from playing in their online casinos.

I think some casinos look the other way when you use VPNs, while they make profit from your account, but as soon as you win something big and you want to withdraw it, they suddenly have issues about it. (Account get red flagged)

Most people use VPNs, because they play from restricted countries or they arbitrage in Sport betting and they do not want their accounts to be red flagged.

In most cases, privacy is just an excuse and people gets burnt when they are caught using it.

I think you should definitely check your current residence country laws. If all kinds of gambling is banned in your country it's nearly impossible for you to be safe using online casino. Your account may be revoked easily. Online casinos have many legal obligations and they can't go against those. VPN is only temporary resolution to your issue. Also, its good to ask live support of casino if using vpn is okay through their website. Some casinos don't like it.

BC.Game has several mirrors like bcgame.sk and bcgame.top. The other domains have the same Cloudflare nameservers as BC.Game so they are not imposters. Depending on which domain you use, you might be able to access the site. I don't know if this means you will be able to play normally and withdraw once you have created an account. Several websites recommend them to users from countries which are sometimes blocked, like the US and UK, but I would check with customer support to make sure if you are allowed to play from your location.

Maybe you can report it to 3rd party mediator? I don't think that countries where they originated will go after this online casinos that might "cheated" us. It all boils down as to the risk of using VPN or not.

They might go to the resort of asking you for KYC, and if everything is not adding up like the location then casinos will go for that account locked and your funds confiscated. And we have seen those cases a lot in the Scam accusations board.

all crypto-based gambling websites can all be accessed. even though gambling is illegal in that country. unless someone reports to the authorities and says this is a gambling site. but as long as it doesn't use the local currency of the local country it won't be blocked. for example, what crypto gambling sites are blocked in Indonesia, the same youre country and my country.

The casino will stand on its "No VPN" policy regardless if a player is from a country where gambling is legal. The casino is likely going to win any case that's filed against them if their terms has been very clear from the start. It's weird that you ask for protection when you knowingly violated that policy.

There should be a local regulatory body in charge for gambling things you could try to reach out to, however, keep in mind that changing your IP address to another country with better protection does not make you under their jurisdiction.

So that's all? countries where gambling is legal do not have laws or institutions to protect gamblers from online casino fraud? So how does a casino license work if gamblers cannot report or protect their gambling activities?

Rather than being legal alone, I think it has more to do with a country's legal framework around online gambling and how it is being enforced. For instance, in my place, gambling (both online + brick and mortar) is legal but there is more corruption [with the regulatory body in charge] than protection for their people lol.

However, there is a risk about using a VPN.
Speaking of many risks of using a VPN depends on what VPN is used.
If you use a free VPN, it will certainly be more dangerous because it is potentially more vulnerable to malware infiltration, unstable connections, and interception of data entered when using a VPN and many other risks.

After all, if it's forbidden, why force it to use it, unless the casino allows the use of VPNs and does not lock user accounts.

Even if the casino allows VPNs, if the casino requests a KYC process to the user, then he will share his real data including the location, and if the country is banned that would be enough for the casino to lock the account and keep the user's funds. That's why i don't recommend using a VPN at all. If you country isn't allowed by the casino the best move is to stay away from it and find a casino that doesn't have any problem with your country.

Countries have laws that protect online gamblers from fraud if these casino licenses fall within their jurisdiction. I am sure an online gambler in the UK will seek redress in court if the casino is licensed by The UK Gambling Commission. However, it might be difficult for him to get the needed legal support if the casino has another license from another country.  A license doesn't guarantee that a casino is trustworthy, so it is always important to use reputable casinos. These reputable casinos have different means of addressing reports of scams and using reputable casinos that have a presence in this forum could also be good. The scam accusation section of the forum is also a good avenue to seek redress

Using a VPN is mostly about keeping your online stuff private.  That goes for anything you do on the internet, not just betting or gambling.  Even if gambling's totally legal where you live, you still got a right to privacy and  you probably don't want nosy people peeking in on what you're doing - whether its your folks, your boss, your internet company, the government...  A VPN keeps all those folks from snooping through your online data and stuff you're looking at.  It's about protecting your privacy, basically.

When you are living in a country where gambling is illegal, I guess you don't have a security blanket when the casino cheats on you. It's like you being a criminal yourself couldn't call the cops when another criminal robs the stash you stole from a bank.

You may be able to prove the casino cheated on you but then you will also have to face the law. Just let it go if you are from China.

Discussing VPNs and accessing gambling sites on this forum is always a hot topic and is fun to talk about, even though there may be pros and cons about it, especially as discussions about this are often raised in gambling board forums, there are several countries that allow their countries to prohibit their people from accessing sites. gambling and there are also casinos that mark certain countries where it is prohibited on their sites, which is what makes this issue continue to be discussed.

But looking at what I have learned, gamblers should ask service support before registering and accessing gambling sites using VPN because there are some online casinos that don't like using VPN and there are also those that like it, it depends on the gambling site, therefore it is better for users It's much earlier to ask about the problem because each casino's rules are different. If there are no problems, you can use a VPN, but if it's prohibited, it's best to avoid the site and look for another site that is easy to access and doesn't require a VPN. Sometimes looking for safety is necessary so that your account doesn't have problems and your money is frozen by the casino.

The use of VPNs for gambling is a complex issue with a variety of considerations. While there are certain benefits to using a VPN for gambling, there are also potential risks and drawbacks.
Benefits of Using a VPN for Gambling:
Improved Privacy: A VPN can encrypt your internet traffic and hide your real IP address, making it more difficult for third parties, including your ISP, government agencies, and even the casino itself, to track your online activity.
Access to Geo-Blocked Casinos: A VPN can allow you to connect to a server in a different location, enabling you to access gambling sites that may be blocked or unavailable in your home country.
Risks and Drawbacks of Using a VPN for Gambling:
Risk of Bans: Some casinos prohibit the use of VPNs and may ban your account if they detect you connecting through one.
Technical Problems: Using a VPN can sometimes cause technical problems, such as slow loading speeds, disconnections, or compatibility issues with casino software.
Security Vulnerabilities: Some VPN providers may have less stringent security measures or be located in countries with weaker data protection laws. This could increase your risk of data breaches or identity theft.
P.S. The decision of whether or not to use a VPN for gambling is a personal one. There are both benefits and risks involved. Gamblers should carefully weigh the risks and benefits before using a VPN and should take steps to protect themselves from potential harm.

Use of VPN is indeed widespread among gamblers who live in countries where gambling is prohibited, using VPN will change the IP address which can make it easier for gamblers to access gambling site.
Countries that have gambling bans will have restrictions on gambling site addresses and the only way is to use VPN.
But regarding VPN, it seems that not all gambling sites can accept them and the best step is to ask the support team regarding VPN use, of course there will be solution or solution provided by the support team.
Moreover, as long as our country is not included in prohibited jurisdiction, there will be considerations from gambling sites towards gamblers who use VPN.

This is pretty good question but I personally have never experienced problem like this so maybe one way that can be done is just to make report on some of the official social media accounts that they have.
But when many gamblers experience problems, they come to this forum and tell each problem in detail so they can get help in solving it.

If gambling is banned in your country and you decide to bypass it using a VPN, that individual is already taking a risk and he should be ready to face the consequences. In this instance, that individual doesn't have any right to report the casino because he broke the law. The casinos are only doing their job so that they to do not get punished by the gambling agencies that issues license.

So that's all? countries where gambling is legal do not have laws or institutions to protect gamblers from online casino fraud? So how does a casino license work if gamblers cannot report or protect their gambling activities?

If the difference is only about KYC, then I think gambling from a prohibited country and not doesn't seem to have a significant difference, and VPN can be used to access gambling sites by changing the IP address
