Maybe the reason is in his country block Netflix, so he needs to use VPN. Besides VPN, we can use Tunnel but I do not know much about how to use Tunnel.

Not all countries allow people to watch the other broadcast from the other countries so they use VPN.

I admitted that NordVPN is good enough to open the block. It is worth subscribing to their plan. It is better to buy a yearly plan because you can get more discounts.

Excuse me for my "noobness" but what is the reason of using VPN for Netflix?
VPN doesn't let you overcome the fact that you need an account in order to sign in to their services,right?

I have been through some type of VPN like: Express, Nord, Surfshark. But I was only impressed with Express.

i have tried Nord once and yeah it is recommended for VPN users though i only once use it because My friend want me to try since i am not really used to VPN.

I've never used ExpressVPN I've used two VPNs Nord VPN and Windscribe VPN but the best one I have is that Windscribe VPN supports all browsers and is very fast.

In the vpn I've used through, I really feel ExpressVPN is the best.

Some VPNs are able to pass the location restriction on streaming sites better than others, but overall, I think there are the same couple VPNs that pop-up everywhere as being the best ones to work for streaming. Yeah, Nord VPN is most effective for watching Netflix Many browsers are open soon and work is much faster I'm also using the Nord VPN. So far no problems have occurred I think Nord VPN works best and fastest in VPN It's usually a premium.

Yeah things with streaming service are getting out of hand. Every year we have new ones coming, and the old ones loosing content. Now we will get AppleTV, Disney+, AT&T announced new streaming service, NBCUniversal, BBC Disocovery etc..

Until recently i was paying Amazon, Hulu and Netflix as i wanted legal and quality content, but for the last few months i only have Netflix left. That and ExpressVPN is enough at the moment.

All this mess on the market will just make people go back to torrenting.

All this trouble to be able to pay Netflix and pay a VPN provider, and you wonder why people go back to torrents. On a second thought, those "blocked" countries usually don't bother prosecuting downloaders.

For example Cuba State television broadcasts movies and series downloaded online (you can sometimes spot the release group name), and they even have an specific "movies" channel. Same thing occurs in my country on a somewhat smaller scale (also State owned television). Of course you can go to the street (yeah its not prosecuted, they have formal shops and all) and buy optical media (BD or DVD) from material downloaded online, this is the most used path for the poor, without good internet or tv subscription. And even with "good" (not capped) internet, its often too slow for live streaming anyway, but you can wait a day or so for a movie to download here. Oh and i don't think a 6 USD monthly wage is good enough to pay Netflix 8 USD + VPN...

I think this mess is due to the lawyers and "IP rights" managing people. Sometimes, rarely they see reason and relax restrictions, such when dealing with the mighty Chinese market (where they can't prosecute people anyway).

I don't think anyone but some lawyers in Netflix want to block countries, but its probably stepping on someone Else's profits, the hypocrisy of it all is nauseating. Then again Netflix also does it to others with their own content, due to "commercial agreements".

When i find myself with good internet, i end playing online games rather than watching movies anyway. They have to compete with that market segment too, oh and the tons of free streaming, where even esports live streams are gaining worldwide popularity.

This is the music downloads thing all over again, how Napster (as trashy as that was) disrupted the labels model. Now its the movie studios model that has become obsolete. And people in the States are cutting subscription tv en mass, switching to streaming or going elsewhere (ie online games and back to on air "free tv").

Well before i am using expressvpn whem i am watching netflix but now i am not using vpn anymore because i already have wifi on my house and for me it is more better to use wifi when watching videos on netlix, because i think it is more safer.

I avail the monthly subscription in Netflix and I do not if they really use it even they don't have subscription with the netflix by using VPN. I think it's hard to find VPN that can access for free netflix because we know Netflix is a big company and of course they have high security and maybe once you on your VPN you will not access the site unless your turn off the open you can access but you can watch.
