Is there a way for any of them to actually prove it technically?
No, it's not possible for a VPN provider to prove they aren't keeping logs, and it's pointless to try. It doesn't matter how well-intentioned the operators are either - they can always be tricked or coerced into keeping the logs and forbidden from telling you about them.

If you're using a VPN for privacy reasons always assume they are logging all your traffic and adjust your usage accordingly.

Pick one that lets you use bitcoins to pay, and allows you to connect via Tor.

Encrypt your traffic going across even a " non logged open proxy " and your traffic is encrypted anyway, so if it does get logged how will they crack it??

thought so.
Well if we know the best jurisdiction for VPNs that could help at least a bit...

I don't think there is such a thing as that, you could perhaps rent your own virtual private server or buy a real server and then run some sort of VPN software on it if you want to remain truly anonymous but that's about as far as my knowledge goes in that area, any third party you connect with likely keeps some kind of record of you even temporarily, this is why though so many people are using fake usernames and why even I'm refusing to give companies my personal details unless it's for shipping details.

I often question why a company selling digital goods that only needs an email address and a credit card also needs to know everything about where I live and what my birth date is, it'd be hilarious if they started asking for blood type and birth certificate as well because I'm convinced these guys data farm to sell to marketing companies. Every time I sign up to something I swear the amount of spam I get from bots goes up.

Another block in the wall
No way to REALLY know. Some will only keep logs for 24 hrs or so.

I've read that, but that doesn't mean anything.

OpenYourEyes, TOR is great but too slow for everyday use.
Some of the VPN are in liberal jurisdiction where they don't have to log, but still i was wondering if there is a way to know for sure instead of taking their word for it.

I have an issue with simply having to trust someone on their word. Usually trust is the weak point where most things fail.

So is there a VPN provider where we know for a fact, that they don't log?
