You're absolutely right! They're trying to lure new customers by offering free trials and stuff like that but the hidden fees are there, as you mentioned above. I'm also not sure about their terms and conditions if they allow crypto-related projects and what is their position on censorship. You have to investigate this unless you want to wake up to your website/vps suspended or even terminated with no way to recover your data.

I checked and I don't see any prohibition mentioned about that - they are not like Hetzner, that's for sure.

Buy they don't forbid running a crypto business, only running a crypto node and mining.

You can probably get that for free at Amazon AWS for 750 hours a month, with a new account. That runs for 12 months.

Since you are on a thin budget, I recommend buying AWS credits on this forum to get you started. They are typically 50% off.

Amazon has a ton of hidden fees across all of their cloud computing services. Storing EC2 snapshots costs money, incoming data transfer costs money (and you're syncing a node so add 2 and 2 together) and also the IPv4 addresses themselves even have a cost. All these things are used when you create a new VPS there so you really have to be careful to stay within their free tier.

There are probably more AWS costs I've missed too. Maybe you should hit up @Vod, he's the resident AWS expert around here.

Im not hosting neither of those services. And im looking for hosting provider recommendation.  Cheesy

Then provide additional details about your cryptocurrency business. For example,
1. "We need VPS with good SLA (service level agreement)".
2. "We don't want to use third party whenever possible". In this case, you probably need to run your own full node which require faster VPS.

As i said, so far im having doubts between Ionos and Ultahost and im curious what is the crypto community using nowdays when it comes to VPS.  Smiley

Since you doesn't mention budget limitation or other specific rerquirement, why don't you just use popular services such as AWS or DigitalOcean?

So, what VPS host do you recommend for starting (hosting) crypto project/business?  Cheesy

Could you elaborate on what kind of crypto business? Running a full BTC node? Launching your own token/altcoin? Selling NFTs? Developing a trading bot? Most likely the specs necessary for these projects will vary.

Some weeks ago a user from this forum recommended a VPS service called contabo, which from my point of view is really cheap compared to other ones, maybe you want to take a look at their offer

https://contabo.com/en/vps/cloud-vps-1/

But why do you need a VPS? you should consider the option of creating the project on your PC, and then getting the VPS once the project it's fully functional

For a start, anything reliable and crypto friendly. If the project grows, i can always migrate.

For now, minimal 1 Core, 1GB RAM and 5G NVM.  Smiley

For flexibility, add RamNode to your comparison.

This is my suggestion:
For seed node:
1 Core CPU 2G RAM 20G SSD
For explorer:
2 Core CPU 2G RAM 20G SSD
For pool node:
4 Core CPU 8G RAM 120G SSD
