It's nothing newer if you think so, it's just like the regular icos but just presented a bit differently. They aren't scams though either, but not something exceptional too.

Blockchain still not yet implemented to the economic system. It doesn't make sense to create such a decentralized VR. It's an impossible idea. It will become an interesting thing to know that.

There actually is a mixed response on its importance. VR is a very promising technology and it might not be a good idea not to get a piece of that. However get your researches done before reaching a decision.

If you are talking about the idea of virtual reality and its long term prospect, I would say there is a big prospect but a lot of questionable efforts so far with most of the project's approach.

However, if you are referring to trust here, then a lot of that will have to do with the team, the availability of product and the business solution or vision of the team in the long run. A lot of people have invested into empty promises or scams because they do not get to check all of that.

I believe VR is a big trend and with blockchain technology there is a synergy effect. But in fact all of ICOs with AR / VR are failing. The most sucessful is Mana, they are creating virtual world.
It has grown like 3x in usd and 4.5 in eth

I am beginner and a layman both at the same time. I need to understand how this works? Virtual Reality ICO are increasing over time, are they really trustworthy?
Has anyone on the forum invested yet in any of them?
I would like to gain some pointers in this regard.

Thanks for your response. I was wondering the same actually. Since blockchain is still mostly in talks and under blueprints, it didn't make any sense to me. Is it like these ICOs are trying to fund further developments using these investments? Could it be a good idea if there's a concrete project, considering that VR is the future of tech industry?

If you take risk it is your own wish but most of the peoples are says it is not performing well in past projects. If you want to participate in these kind of projects you can loose your money on anytime and crypto investment is not a simple technique so we must analyse everything and how to survive in future competition also very important to know about the project. If you follow my suggestions you will safe in ICO investment.

I've seen they are getting more popular, especially with the combination with AI. But if they are successful or not, I couldn't say for sure. My gut tells me that they are not, at least not as much as infrastructure ICOs.

I participated in the Redbax ICO. It turned out to be a fraudulent scheme. Tokens were transferred to the wallet, but they are worthless.

Well to be honest whatever category an ico has from financial to gaming, from trading to vr, all the projects need screening, filteration and thorough research before you will want to invest, so your personal due diligence is very important, do not invest blindly or following others.

I invested in Spectiv but it was not a good decision. Not because the project was bad but because the market started decreasing and after more than half a year the price of the coin is more than 10x less than it was when I bought it.

VR projects on blockchain are just like any other ICO, so you have to do the research if it's worth investing. I participated in two tokensales of VR related projects last year - VibeHUB and Spectiv - and one of them gave me nice profits once it was listed on Binance. But truth is, both projects are still early in development, so it can take some time to see the final products.

I thought that sort of new type of ICO but its just like the other ICOs.

They have different view with the project they are going to focus with and this is the virtual reality. Not really new idea, my only advise is learn to know who are the team members, what really they are going to push with it or they are just running the ICO to collect funds and run.

I have seen 2 or 3 such projects of VR. I don't know how they are, but I can say with certainty that this is not unusual, and I don't think it is good idea to combine VR with blockchain.
