They called this cannibalizing. If you have 100 broken tanks and if you have good mechanics you can cannibalize those parts from other broken tanks to create at least 20 - 30 working tanks. The military base near my home usually do this because of low budget.
In that case, the Ukrainian army will soon find the rebels armed with some 50 more tanks, in addition to the 6 or 7 they had already captured. Remember that the Ukrainians have only around 100 MBTs in the Eastern Front.

No, it's some variant of T-64 tank. T-72 has somewhat different chassis and bigger/wider wheels:

If so it would explain why the Russians were able to get their hands on them, I would definitely think it possible to take tanks from that place and re-activate them with some skilled engineers, just a matter of knowing how to fabricate the bits and put it all together safely.

Those are de-activated tanks, you can tell from the things on the turrets, they could be re-activated I suppose if you had the knowledge to do so but that would take some effort especially with that many and even though tanks would be very effective on land against air power they're useless.

That all are old pictures. I have never seen actual pictures. But asking for repair parts confirm the reality.

As per the source, the tanks were seized from a military base in Artemovsk. I don't know how reliable this source is. For sure, a lot of the Ukrainian army formations were defecting to the rebel side in Donbass. So it is not possible to ignore this news as well.
That will end very fast. Kiev forces uses to shoot at cities in safety, now they will have some troubles.
That is not gonna end well, people should start trying to find peace rather than weapons, tanks in hands of anyone is not good, nobody needs that in their lives.
