Glad I jumped in before the rally.  I'll be getting my burrito all the way tonight!

Wow, one hell of a rally, even the chart couldn't make up its mind to show the price in red or green

having traded markets for years i wouldn't be surprised if this rumor turns out to be true.

if there's anything you learn about Wall St is that they'll make a market in anything if there's money to be made.

i'm sure Bitcoins rise has caught their attention at the very least.  i could see them setting up a derivatives desk based on trading Bitcoin.  these are just side bets on an underlying commodity anyways.  don't need to own the underlying reference asset.

I can't help but doubt the authenticity of a blog that spells Goldman Sachs incorrectly

First thing I noticed too.  Didn't even bother clicking the link.

That site is full of spoofs  Grin

I wouldn't be surprised if hedge funds went into virtual currency trading eventually. But GS? no Smiley

I should add the following disclaimer:  I did not vetting of, research on or otherwise investigated the blog site.  It could be anything from Warren Buffets own person blog or that of Micky Mouse's.  I always assume information is invalid until I have a chance to perform research on my own and you should too.

Just an interesting thing that pinged on the Google Alerts for Bitcoin so I passed it on.  Enjoy!

HAHA, way to cover your ass!

next up from GS:

cookie default swaps.

"Hey - we saw a good financial opportunity for GS in the girl scout market.  and we're thinking of making them change the name of their organization:  we've trademarked the initials 'GS'"

I question the authenticity when they mention World of Warcraft gold.

WOW gold is explicit property of Blizzard... you can't openly trade it if you're a ligit company.  Goldman Sachs wouldn't touch that...

But I guess there are people dumb enough to suggest bitcoin is the same as WOW gold.
