Hello all,

New to the scene here and I have a question. When you mine for different altcoins, do you have to have different wallet for each? Or you can have 1 wallet and use it for all the altcoins you mine?

Lets say I have a wallet in |Trust Wallet, can I use that address for storing different altcoins that I mine?

I hope that you understand what I'm trying to say. Sorry but my English is not so good.

Well I think that it depends on  the coin you are mining, if you are mining erc20 related coins, then you can go for mew. So far I had no issues with it.

if all the wallets that you want to keep are compatible with erc20 then you can use trust wallets but you still keep altcoins that belong to different wallets, it aims to avoid hacker attacks, because if you are in one wallet then you will lose assets in an instant

You don't really need to have multiple wallets for your altcoins now as we have a lot of multi-currency wallets that support nearly every altcoins across nearly every blockchain. Few examples of trusted Multicurrency wallet that i've used includes Atomic Wallet, trust wallet, coinomi and imtoken and i can assure you that these wallets are always on deck integrating more and more altcoins support everyday

Yes trust wallet can let you store multiple tokens of different blockchains on their wallet.
But first you need to confirm the blockchain is permitted on the trust wallet first, so you do not lose your tokens.

You should pay attention to if you want to keep multiple coins in one mixed wallet is the reputation of that wallet because there are also mix wallets that have proven to be safe till this day. Tokens are built on different block chain that has it's own native coins.  For example, Bitcoin, Ethereum, EOS, TRX, OMNI etc.
Trust wallet got you covered, ethereum, litecoin, Doge coin, Bitcoin, bitcoincash, Ethereum classic etc.
Binance Chain wallet for BNB and BEP2
NEO wallet for NEO and its token NEP5
TRON wallet for TRX and its tokens.

It's one of the easiest multicoin wallet I've ever tried!

Very interesting, how long have you been using the wallet? Can you set the fee for each type of altcoin? I do not know why, so far, I have never heard of this wallet.

Today there are roughly 5,098 altcoins in existence. If you are interested in checking out all the digital currencies and markets check out markets.bitcoin.com for an aggregated list of coin market caps NEM. Ethereum Classic. Monero. Zcash. Decred. PIVX. Bitcoin, bearing in mind that the combined market capitalization of both is way south of the market capitalization of some of the world's biggest companies.

Exodus wallet the best one
Has a beautiful interface, supports even the most useless shitcoin.
And non-custody as a nice addition.

yes a very good wallet for storing multiple coins/tokens. However I would suggest you to store Ether based tokens in myehterwallet use metamask browser extension. And for coins it would be good to store them in official wallet for each coin. I know it's bit hectic but there is a saying "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" So for better security you should consider this.

im looking for a different and unique coment to reply on and i found this though this trick isnt realy new because me myself have heard this before but still this trick is useful so that we wouldnt lost all our coin on one single moved made by hackers  .  you sugested mew which is also i support more than trust wallet that op have been using  becuase mew is a wallet that is already a pioneer on this scene and already gain recognition or reputation  .  pairing it with metamask and your now pretty solid  .

Mining altcoins and storing in wallet depends s on the compatibility of the token and wallet, as a crypto merchant, you need different wallets and all depends on how compatible they are to the particular wallet you intend to use. Some tokens have there special wallets while others are ERC compactible. Just like electroneum cannot be stored in trust or imtoken wallet, and also Energi token cannot be saved in ERC wallets. So my point is, not all altcoins can be stored in one wallet, you need different wallets to store coins you mine, depending on the compatibility of the token to wallets.

Thanks to each one of you for the great info. I understood that you can store you mined coins in a single wallet as long as they are supported from it. Also when you mine that coin you need to enter the specific coin address to the miner (you get the address from the multi-wallet).

Also you can get the original wallet from the coin you mine, so you have one wallet for each different coin you mine (more secure).

I'm mining coins that are from 0,5-10$ value!!!

First make sure to check if the altcoins you are mining are ERC-20 token standard tokens of Ethereum network. If yes, then you can use many wallets like Trust, Enjin, Ledger etc to store them. But if they are not then you will most probably need to download their own wallets.

Of course, because Trust Wallet supports many types of altcoin, but it all depends on the coins that you mine because there are some coins that provide desktop wallets, where we have to install a wallet on our PC.

hello, I personally use various multicoin wallets, the best solution to keep all your coins in one place, trustwallet is the one I use most for the various erc20 tokens and for many coins that I keep, even coinomes can be an excellent alternative. I also use freewallet to quickly exchange many coins that are not supported in the exchange where I am registered. the latter to be used with caution since it does not give the possibility of having a recovery phrase

You will need to create multi wallet account on trust wallet, this will give you access to every altcoins you desire, you can always add or remove, from litecoin to enjin address, trust wallet got you covered, if you aren't satisfied with trust wallet then look for others like atomic or monarch wallet

I am using exodus for storing many of my altcoins. So far it has not given me any problem. Exodus is available in desktop and mobile devices and is an easy to use multi-currency software wallet. For me the wallet excels in its simple design and easy to navigate user interface. It has also superb online support. You can even generate all private keys for every altcoins stored in the wallet and lets you also exchange between currencies.

You don't need another wallet cos trust wallet can handle many altcoins out there, all presently profitable coins to mine are available on trust wallet so no problem at all

I think it is safe if each token has there own wallet for ERC20, because if you will choose one wallet in a different altcoin that would be risky I guess. Aside from that, I had no question about using one wallet in different coins. However, the decision still remain in your hands of course.
good day.

one wallet for most or major Altcoins is achievable I have come across many wallets that are cross blockchain for example. The hybrid wallet supports 32 blockchains. They are not just popular

There is no mining for tokens so what you stored in your trust wallet cannot generate any income from mining. Maybe staking by holding but only coins that are intended for mining should have their own wallet like bitcoin and ethereum.

The purpose of multi wallet such as trust wallet is only for storing and not for mining. Hope I help you OP.

if I'm not mistaken, the coins produced from mining have different wallets that fit their platform. I mean, it's not much different, like new tokens or coins generated from the erc20 Platform, so it can be stored in the form of a Myetherwallet wallet, Trust wallet and the like that are related to the erc20 platform.
If its an ERC20 token then it can probably in different wallets which supported by ETH. If its a different token then I suggest to generate different wallet. You can easily create a multiwallrt in Trust Wallet, it safe since you have the only one who can access your wallet. There's no issue yet in using Trust Wallet or Myetherwallet. You can access them easily and monitor always.

You can store several coin in one wallet as you know trust wallet. I don't suggest you to store in trust wallet, single wallet isn't secure for all coin although trust has some issue. All top coin is supporting by several wallet even new wallet but for long time you should use different wallet for different coin.

Keeping all your money in one wallet is not a wise choice, you could lose your entire fortune if you encounter a fraud or lose your wallet.
Dividing assets into parts and keeping them in different wallets is a choice many people use. Ideally, you should use a separate wallet for each altcoin that you are holding.

No man, you don't use the same address for storing different coins, but you can use the same wallet to store many coins. There is a difference between wallet and addresses. Wallet is where all your coins are stored, while an address is unique to every coin there is. If you send a bitcoin to an Ethereum address it will get lost, the same thing if you do the same for other coins.

If you're making use of the Trust wallet then you should add the coins you want to be storing in that wallet and when you click on them you will see an option to either send or receive. You click on the receive button and it will bring up the unique address for the coin you're about to receive and you can copy it before sending. For bitcoin addresses, electrum is also supporting us by giving new address if we opt for change to be used in options.

If you're asking about storing ERC-20 tokens on Trust Wallet, then you do not need to start creating different wallets to receive. All you need is your ETH wallet address and the altcoin will be displayed in your asset list once you receive any. Same applies to wallet that supports tokens on their blockchain, like the TRC-20 (Tron Blockchain), you're going to need Tron Wallet.

For the mining part, there's no way you can mine tokens on a coin's blockchain, I don't think it's possible. So you're going to have to mine coins that have their own explorer and supports mining.

Don't rely on only one multi-wallet, there are a lot of multi-wallet, you can use at least 2 to 3 multi-wallet like Exodus, Coinomi and Atomic wallet, but the most important thing is keeping your seed and your private key secured, even if you are using one multi-wallet but you know how to secured it is still ok but using multi-wallet is highly recommend.

You are right. The most important of these all is having access and keeping your private keys safe. Wallet like Atomic wallet and Coinomi can store over 500 cryptocurrencies. So it will greatly be helpful for users who intend storing multiple assets in just one wallet.

Yes you can store your mind coins in one wallet. We have multi wallets that store more than 300 coins in just one wallet. So in that case, you can use these wallets to store all your mines coins. Except where the coins isn't supported in these wallets, then you may need to get it's own wallet or separate wallet for it. Hope you understand this.

You need one wallet for one blockchain network and that one wallet can store all tokens which are deployed on the blockchain network. At this time i think you will need around 5 wallets to store all coins and tokens. Ethereum wallet for ETH and ERC20 tokens. Binance Chain wallet for BNB and bep2 tokens, NEO wallet for NEO and its token NEP5, TRON wallet for TRX and its tokens.

Coinomi is a great choice to store multiple different coins. You can see the list of natively supported assets on https://www.coinomi.com/assets/

You can also read an introduction about the wallet with some safety tips on https://coinomi.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/29000024165-introduction-to-coinomi, there's also a video-tutorial showing how easy it is to set it up, and showing basic usage.

Some wallets support many coins, while some only support the main couple of coins.
You will need a different for all of the coins, which if your wallet supports it, can be found under that altcoin and on the deposit option.
A good wallet with lots of coins supported is Exodus, which I currently use.

If you are a coin miner, I think you need a separate wallet that matches the coins that you are mining. but if the coin / token that you mean is generated from the ERC20 platform I think you only need MEW wallet.
Right, but if I analyze the topic he wrote, it seems like he is talking about all the coins or tokens that everyone has, and in that case certainly the MEW wallet or TRUST wallet is very suitable for use even though the two purses I mentioned are almost same way it works.
absolutely right using the Trust wallet suitable for airdrop hunter, in the Trust wallet all Erc20 and Bep2 tokens can be stored there.
if you want to download it go to Playstore and search Trust Wallet

You need to wallet which is more secure to store your altcoins otherwise you could lost your token to the hackers. Again, The choosing of the wallet is depend on which altcoins and crypto you want to store. There are many altcoins which is now created in different blockchain like; Ethereum, Tron, Tezos, Waves, VET etc. If you have altcoins which is on Ethereum blockchain means ERC-20 token, you have to choose a ERC compatible wallet like the MEW wallet. This way you can store your different coin by choosing different wallet. But, if you want to secure your coin more then buy a hardware wallet like; Ledger or Trezor. This wallets are supporting most of the coin and token at one place.

Lets say I have a wallet in |Trust Wallet, can I use that address for storing different altcoins that I mine?

I hope that you understand what I'm trying to say. Sorry but my English is not so good.

First it depends on the type of altcoin you are mining and if it is supported by trust wallet. I know Trust wallet supports a good number of altcoins but I do not know the type of altcoin you are mining. Therefore to be on the safer side, open your Trust wallet and search for the respective altcoins, if you find them then you can use Trust wallet. But if you don't, check more about the altcoin and where you can store it. It's very important to make your research about each altcoin, so that you don't end up losing it (i.e sending to the wrong wallet address).

You can keep multiple coins in one wallet but you need different address for storing different coins, if you send coins to wrong address then you will get invalid address format or you will completely lose your coins.

Trust wallet is multiple crypto supported wallet so it will be perfect for storing less amount of cryptos.

Of course you can use the Trust Wallet as long as the coin you're mining is being supported by them. There's nothing wrong if you use a multi-coin wallet that supports various coins and if the coin you're recently mining is there, it's an ease actually. But if you don't like things go like that then you're going to use the specific wallet for that coin. And you are required to that if the coin you mine still not yet supported by any multi-coin wallet that you have.

Yes, you can use a trust wallet to store all Altcoins, because most of the Altcoins that are supported by wallet trusts are Altcoins that use the ERC20 platform, because there are also sometimes Altcoins that are only supported by the wallet itself, and Altcoins like that are usually not supported by wallets others, like the example on the Altcoin Minter Network.

The industry has become very innovative now, we now have a different multi-wallet to cater to all kinds of investors I'm using at least three multi-wallet, the thing is you need to secure all your wallets, once hacked you lose all your coins.

I really like using Exodus, I can have a shared desktop-mobile wallet, has a nice, ez to use interface and the alt-coin repertoire + the integrated exchange feature is pretty neat with minimal fees.

Not all altcoins can be stored in one wallet, some coins have their own or partnered with some platform that only accepts that specific alts. It will depend on what coins or token you'll be able to mine new or old or have their own wallet produced. Though many wallets around been trying to accommodate or lots alt as much as they can it will still depend on what alt they are in or platform they have if eth, waves, etc etc.

1. Not all minable coins have mobile wallets
2. If the coin you plan to mine is new you will need to download wallet separately
3. There is 90% chance that the new coin don't have mobile wallet, you can only mine the coin if you have laptop or desktop to run the windows wallet
4. Multi wallets like atomic or trust wallet only support old altcoins

Yes most of the wallets support all etc 20 tokens. When a wallet supports ethereum it means that you can use the wallet to store any erc 20 token. Trust wallet is one of those wallets

every coins have their own wallet you need to download each of them if you want to receive that coins. They use different Blockchain so its not really possible to use only one wallet for all Altcoin.

In trust wallet you can stored many different coins that only supported by that wallet but not all Altoona can stored there.

Tokens uses ethereum blockchain/ wallet and other coins with separate blockchain like litecoin, dash, digibyte has separate wallets but few wallets in crypto space combine all these blockchain in a simple wallet for example enjin wallet, coinomi wallet, trust wallet, Atomic wallet

Hello all,

I would say that it is better to have a separate wallet for each altcoin you mine.
Advantage is that if you have just wallet and it was hack, you loss everything you have there.
So it is a safe practice to have different wallets, just saying.

Lets say I have a wallet in |Trust Wallet, can I use that address for storing different altcoins that I mine?

I hope that you understand what I'm trying to say. Sorry but my English is not so good.

Just be careful with Trust Wallet though, I say this because I have read accusations against them.
Agree with this one. Sure there is the convenience of multi-wallet but each wallet for each coin provides better security, especially when you need to back up/restore .dat. Anyway, you can you multi wallet to store coin from the mining pool if that coin supported in the multi-wallet.

It's better for you never try to mix all of your coins into the one wallet. I have been storing my money in the different wallet to prevent the possibility to be stolen by scammer. I hope i will never get that case. You should store your coins into the some wallet.

Some coins doesn't have their own wallet ,so they use ethereum  network to store their coins. They use MEW, coinomi, enjin, trust and etc.

Yes, sure you can use single trust wallet for different alts coin, but the coins that you will hold must support with trust wallet.
Or if you want the other wallet, you can using wallet from coinomi, many altcoins that support in there. You can make any transaction, receive or send as you want

Having one wallet that can accommodate many altcoins. Part of the benefit is the ease wax nd flexibility. Similarly, you stand the risk of losing your assets by using one wallet to hold your coins.
If you are very careful person, it is great to have all your assets somewhere you can access them easily. There are quite a few wallets that can keep multiple coins
Trust wallet;
Atomic Swap wallet (Atomic Wallet)
ImToken

I personally use ImToken because it can hold more than one eth address.
Good luck

Depends on  the coin you are mining, if they have their own centralised wallet but if what you are mining are ERC20 supported coins then you are good to go with Trust wallet and other ERC 20 supported wallets

It would be easier if you can share the name of the coin you are mining, if the coin is a new coin then there is a higher chance that it won't be available on multi wallets like trust wallet, most new coins have desktop wallets and Linux wallets for start

It depends on many things:
1. do you want to keep those altcoins or just mine and sell for something else?
2. do you solo mine or use a pool? - If you solo mine you need each different wallet afaik.
3. if you mine in a pool, check if the pool doesn't keep the money for you until you want to withdraw
4. also if you mine in a pool, maybe you want to use a multi-pool that auto-exchanges your earnings into a coin you want.

Of course Trustwallet can support many types of coins and tokens, you can store all your coins there if there are coins that you are looking for

You will need separate wallet for altcoins but just a wallet if the altcoin is a token, ( meaning running on Ethereum ERC20 smart contract), we do have wallets like coinomi, trust, atomic wallet that supports many altcoins, but there is a chance that the coin you want to mine won't be available on these multiwallets I made mention so you will have to download the coin wallet separately
