since the topic says for newbies or small bitcoiners, why not use blockchain.com or btc.com wallet
I know it's online wallet and less secure than electrum or bitcoin core,
but these online wallets are easier to use for newbies before they learn more and take the next step
new users are used to concept of user/pass as credentials, so web wallet is not too complicated for them
after they completely learned how bitcoin actually works, they can use core or electrum or other wallets

Thank you. I will look into it. Is it available to anyone regardless of the location? I'm in Asia. Can I use that wallet too? Can you please provide further details if you don't mind? How to I get it? Is it really safe?
Ofcourse this is 100% safe , and you don't need to take much tension regarding this thing that whether it is safe or not , Because this is not a option by third party platfroms , but still even if you are thinking that there can be scam/fraud or anything wrong with your btc then it will be better to use segwit wallet by Bitcoin core official bitcoin wallet instead to use any another like electrum or any another .

https://youtu.be/uvm-GWGG6_c Here this video will help you to how to create segwit wallet in electrum , but if you want to go with bitcoin core then search about it in YouTube .

For further any type of help or doubt , you can ask me in pm or here

During these days most of the people have immense knowledge of what is better than the other yet I find many newbies and beginners who are not using the right bitcoin wallet just because either they have less amount if bitcoins or they have to pay more transaction fees. I would like to suggest you a wallet which is supported by Android as well as iOS . The name is Electrum which is a bitcoin SegWit wallet and is available on Playstore and Appstore.
Since this is a SegWit wallet we have a restriction that only SegWit compatible wallets will be able to send bitcoins to us yet we can send bitcoins to any BTC address. The advantage is that we can adjust the transaction fee and not spend more than enough fees for the transaction.

This is helping post for small Bitcoiners , share your owns thoughts that what you would like to have instead of segwit wallet as alternative or any suggestion to choose perfect wallet .
Well said mate! Electrum is indeed a better wallet than most of the SegWit wallets out there. It's advantage of adjusting the transaction fee might some times become a disadvantage for newbies as well since the newbies might think of spending low fees for transaction and end up boradcasting the transaction with a very low fee resulting in a delay in confirmation time. So for the beginners to have more advantage of the wallet they should first learn on how to use the wallet to the best before making any transactions.

I think Exodus offers a really good user experience, is beginner friendly and even offers ShapeShift.
This is your misunderstanding about to have exodus wallet , here we are talking about a particular coin i.e bitcoin , which is a big need to make transfer daily and in small amount ( specially for newbies ) to make small trades with Fiat currency or anything that can help in arbitrage trading like things .
But here Exodus is made for the multiple wallets to have your altcoins in your laptop or PC for long term and here I am a user of exodus wallet and this wallet platfrom have no any option of the segwit wallet of bitcoin .
So better to read carefully the main post of this thread , may be that will be beneficial for you to save a big amount of transaction fee .

Since in the present time most of the guys are full of knowledge that which thing is perfect and which is not .
But still here I found that many of the newbies and small Bitcoiners are not using better Bitcoin wallet because at one side they are small Bitcoin Amount  dealers and at another side lots of fee system results into very less profit for them .
So here I would like to suggest for all the Bitcoin users that they should use Bitcoin segwit wallet by electrum , this wallet is available at play store and windows Mac all ( electrum , sign up as Bitcoin segwit wallet ).
Since there are few limitations that only limited numbers of wallets supports to transfer Bitcoin to segwit wallet , but we can send Bitcoin segwit wallet to any Bitcoin wallet address .

This is helping post for small Bitcoiners , share your owns thoughts that what you would like to have instead of segwit wallet as alternative or any suggestion to choose perfect wallet .

Mycelium is a very good wallet for noobies.
you can select fee and use multiple address on the same application.

Mycelium is available on play store.
How can you say that mycelium is more better than segwit wallet .
In actual here I am not talking about the UI ( user interface ) of the wallet that are available right now in this field , but here I am talking about the savings from the fee by use of the perfect choice of the perfect wallet .
And also here you need to know that to have segwit wallet is not a tedious task , it is available at android , iOS as well as at windows and Mac like a normal wallet ( we just need to set segwit type during creation of account ) .
Hope you understand the main factor for which we are discussing Wink

In your own opinion, how many people are using segwit wallet? I'll look up for more information about this. I still don't have bitcoin wallet yet that is trusted and commonly used by many people and not complicated one. Thanks for the recommendation by the way.
This is not a third party wallet , but it is a result of improvement in Blockchain technology ( I think it was soft fork ) .
And the improvement results into better for us , but as most of the people are using the traditional option and they are happy to have traditional version and type of wallets , they don't want move on toward new one type .
Overall it is a laziness and lack of information that is not making segwit wallet popular .
And the main thing that I would like to tell you again is that , it is not a third party wallet , it is fully official option of the bitcoin team experiment of improvement .
You can get the segwit option in the Bitcoin core wallet also , which needed segwit type to select during create the account in very starting .

In my opinion every exchange should use this wallet for the withdrawal of btc of the users Because they charge us 0.0001 btc 0.003 btc which is very costly for traders like us , so if they can implement segwit wallet in Thier exchange than in that case we can have better turn in trading in exchange for small small btc amount trading with more profit ( specially in case of arbitrage trading ) .

It would reduce the fees for sure, but only on the exchange's end. They pay your fees for you and charge their own fee on top of it, so they may not even reduce fees on your end. It completely depends on them. But yeah, it will be better for the entire network if exchanges use Segwit anyway, so I agree.

Since  I heard about green addresses, maybe these are the same type of wallet starting with the prefix 3

In my knowledge segwit address and green address are same, but there is an only difference of prefix that starts with "bc1" and "3" respectively.

I guess he meant GreenAddress [Bitcoin Wallet] not Green address.
GreenAddress is a wallet like any other wallets and is not a type of Bitcoin addresses.
This wallet supports segwit addresses that enable you to send using lower fees.
The type of segwit address that supports called "P2SH type" [starting with the number 3]. In addition to many features that make it the best as a wallet for Android and desktop.

this is strange that why yet not another people in my friend circle discussed about it .

About 5-6 months I was also don't know about segwit wallet of bitcoin , but when a signature campaign in which the manager made a rule to use segwit address mendetory to receive payment then in that case I was restricted to use this wallet .
At that time I was thinking in negative way about campaign manager , but when I used that address for the withdrawal of btc at low fees then I found that campaign manager who restricted me to use segwit address is very right at high place and I thanked him by heart for this rule Because this wallet saved about 0.01 btc yet from the fee saving .
But here it is strange that why not people still with these types of post seen , are not going with this wallet .

Since  I heard about green addresses , may be these are same type of wallet starting with prefix 3
Let me tell that I am right or not?

But be careful not every address started with "3" will be bech/segwit adress .

Good initiative even though majority of newcomers don't know or care about wallet that they use, they even don't care if they use centralized wallet. My suggestion is promoting the main advantage of SegWit (that anyone would see) which is lower transaction fees (because it has lower transaction size/weight).

For desktop i agree Electrum is overall best-wallet. User can have full control while remain user-friendly, Electrum even support Tor (assuming you've set up Tor connection at default port). But i'm not sure about their Android wallet since it's crap compared to their desktop wallet.
I'd recommend Samourai Wallet which have very rich useful features/configuration even compared with desktop wallet. Especially their Stonewall features, even though i don't how secure/private is it in reality. However, it's still on alpha version.

P.S. Development & Technical Discussion section isn't suitable since you plan to help newcomers.

There are 2 types of SegWit address starts with prefix 3 and bc1. Also, SegWit is an upgrade/improvement for Bitcoin.

I agree with your suggestions , but I don't think that most of the newbies who are having low amount of Bitcoin are making transaction more , they usually use Thier btc at trading exchange to make trade with altcoins .
But still here surely it is much beneficial for us to use segwit wallet because with it at about less then 0.1$ fee we can get better speed of confirmation in the transaction of Bitcoin easily .
Edit 1:Here another things that we are seeing that people are not having idea in Thier mind that they can.move toward the another option with the same.coin ( i.e Bitcoin ) to get better and faster confirmation very low fees because of the main reason of non-proper guidance ( as you said ) .
Here we need to remain with the updated with new new things , and here you are doing the same .
So thank you for this share of old but beneficial thing which is a big need for newbies in the present time .
