Okay that is helping, In the folder users>name>AppData>Roaming> Bitcoin

I have a Wallet and it says it's a Gom Media File (.dat) 80KB. Is this the file I save then uninstall everything else and rerun the exe. then put this file in there?

Close Bitcoin-qt (not only to system tray)
Make backup of users>name>AppData>Roaming> Bitcoin folder
Keep wallet.dat, and delete all other files and sub directories.
Run Bitcoin-qt and wait for the blockchain to download again, you should not get stuck again at block 268351 of 272832

Thanks, it's syncing from the beginning now. Hopefully it won't get stuck on that block again.

I am uncertain as to how to do that. I can not find a wallet.dat file. I see wallet.cpp wallet.h walletdb.cpp and walletdb.h.

Could you be very specific on how to do what you say?

Here you will locate where Bitcoin's data files are stored

I hate to bump my own post, however I did forget to mention I am currently stuck synchronizing with the network , 3 weeks behind. I have had no progress in the past 8 hours I have been trying to sync it.

Restarting doesn't help, I still get the afore mentioned warning, and I am stuck at processed 268351 of 272832.

Again any help would be appreciated.

You may delete the blockchain manually and the client redownload it again. Worked for me.

But make sure you dont delete wallet.dat

I have been mining with a couple of USB asic block erupters for about a month now. Nothing serious, yet. However when I decided to update my wallet, as I am close to my first payout from the mining pool I am in, my wallet has a warning on the top of the Overview screen. Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct. You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade. I am using bitcoin-qt 8.5. I tried to download a newer version, however it was also 8.5.

Any help here in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
