This time export your private key to flash drive. Even print private key on sheet of paper and store in safe. Grin

All the main wallet types support and encourage backup (in various ways). Don't be a victim of the entropy of the universe.

If you only have the address it is not possible to recover the private key. The private key is what is important. you can extract your private key from a wallet.dat using pywallet.

Hi guys

Bitcoin newb had to emergency reimage PC and has lost his original wallt.dat file.  I still know the address, is there any way to collect these coins.  Only a pitiful amount, but everybit helps.
