AFAIK, open source wallets allow you to request to receive a certain amount of Bitcoin or its equivalent in dollars, but the prices will be fixed.
Therefore, you need to rely on third-party applications, which are either closed source or open source.

BTCPay is the best option, it is free/open soure and does not require much time, you need to extract your Master public key.

If you are looking for a payment gateway for Bitcoin with 0% fees the best option for you is BTCPay. You have an option to create a payment request/invoice(video demo on the link) which you can send to your buyer where he has the option to copy the address or scan the qr code. If you know how to work around with your website with various codes and you want to integrate a payment system on it this I think is one of the best options for you.

You can do that on Coinomi mobile (haven't used desktop version, so not sure). Just select the coin, click receive tab, enter the amount in fiat or crypto, and qr code generated above will reflect the same.
Closed source wallets such as Coinomi that also have a shady history of doing unsafe things such as broadcasting your seed phrase to a remote server, must never be recommended or used unless you have absolutely no other choice and accept the risks of using such a wallet.

Thanks so much for your recommendations. You say that Exodus has this feature to request an amount? Can you tell me where to find this as I can’t seem to find it within the iOS app versions?

I'm sorry for misleading you with my post. Perhaps I structured it the wrong way. What I meant to say is that yeah, Exodus has that very convenient feature in which you can send your Bitcoin by making input in USD. However, you are correct that the same feature is not offered when receiving.

So, the exact features you are looking for in a wallet is non-existent on Exodus. They are on the 3 mentioned wallets, though.

Again, my apologies.

Yeah, Exodus wallet has that very convenient feature. But if you are looking for an alternative to Exodus with that exact feature you are looking for, you might want to check the following trusted and reliable wallets:

1. Coinomi- You can type in the amount in fiat and get a QR code for it which you could easily share with the sender.
2. BlueWallet- It has this "Receive with amount" feature which also comes with a QR code you can share. With BlueWallet, you can easily switch from BTC to fiat to Sats. The QR code also conveniently comes with a description, so it is very easy for the sender to tell that the QR comes from you and for this or that purpose.
3. BRD Wallet- It has "Request an amount" feature. You can also easily switch from BTC to fiat and get a QR code for it.

Please take note that I used all of these wallets with the iOS version. So that's basically their mobile wallets. Note further that I am not recommending any of these. Neither am I connected to them. Please do your own research before choosing.

Electrum allows you to set a request and generates a QR code containing the URI of the payment request. You'll have to enter and select a source for the price reference before the fiat settings will appear.

Hi all,

I am looking for a wallet or solution where I can enter in the $$ (fiat) amount to essentially request a crypto payment, then it will generate a QR code which has the fixed amount of crypto in it and the included wallet address.

Something like exodus wallet, I guess, but with a request feature like above.  Appreciate any recommendations.

Thanks
