Just put your wallet.dat on the computer you're moving to. Make sure you install the latest bitcoin-qt.

Yea, I right clicked on the desktop icon and went to "properties" and under the "Details" tab it says "File version    0.7.0.3"

and no it's no rush. I was just thinking of getting a new wallet on another PC and just send my coins over there.

...

If I can ..

Then you should backup you wallet.dat again, to make sure, and download the last version from here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitcoin/files/Bitcoin/bitcoin-0.8.5/bitcoin-0.8.5-win32-setup.exe/download

Then if you don't want to download the whole blockchain anymore, just try to install it over your current 0.7 version (which is quite old Wink).
If it still fails, you might try to launch QT with a -reindex switch
If it still fails, I'm afraid you'll have to wipe the blockchain from your harddrive and redownload it, which could take some days depending on your bandwidth.

EDIT :
Just read your message again, sorry, if the goal is just to transfer the wallet to another PC...
Copy/paste it to target PC using an usb stick for example.
Be sure to have the latest QT version on your target computer, though.

I beleive 4.7.4 this is not the client version, and I don't remember how to get it from inside the client (I'm away from home right now), maybe just a right click on the bitcoin-qt.exe file => version tab?

Anyway, what is your exact need? Is it urgent? If not, I'll be able to help more in a couple days.

In the wallet I clicked "Help" and "About Qt" and it says "This program uses Qt version 4.7.4."

Is that what you are asking for? If not how would I look to see what version I'm running?

btw thanks for your help  Smiley

Another blind guess from a quick google search, make sure that your computer date and time is accurate.

No, my Local Disk (C:) says 204 GB free of 931 GB

...

Can you still send coins if your wallet isn't synchronized?
