Hello fellow Shibas,
back in 2013 I purchased over 3000000 dogecoins (paid around $1000 for it) and half of them were spent.
1500000 dogecoins I decided to keep it case it will go the moon  Cool
I made a backup of my wallet.dat and placed it in *.zip file called "ImAMillionaire.zip"  Roll Eyes
I forget about it until I saw Elon Musk's tweet about DogeCoin.
I decided to install DogeCoin wallet and after a few days of syncing I found that I must copied the wrong wallet.dat  Shocked
Using data recovering softwares I managed to find some old wallet.dat files from my old laptop HDD.
In total I have 10 wallet.dat files, 3 are corrupted.
Those 7 working aren't the file that I'm looking for because their balance is ZERO and I know the address of the orginal wallet.
Out of 3 wallet.dat files that I was lucky to track, 2 of them aren't called wallet.dat.
I found them doing regex search for files containing "poolX" word. When I open these 3 files it looks like that they are mixed with some *.txt files but bits which looks like a content from wallet.dat are visible.
Opening them in Dogecoin wallet returns "wallet.dat corrupt, salvage failed".
Cointdesk indicates that the current value of 1.5m dogecoins is $101812  Cry

What I will do next
1. I will run these 3 wallet.dat with -salvagewallet command to see wheter this will help.
2. If running dogecoin wallet with -salvagewallet command fail, I will try to use pywallet

I will update this thread as soon as I will know wheter any of these steps were successful or failed.

According to https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/walletdat-recovery-recover-your-own-lost-bitcoins-22697 it's also possible to search entire hard drive for byte sequence coresponding to dogecoin private keys.
If someone was using similar/other techniques and was able to recover deleted wallet.dat or any other data which may help to restore the wallet.dat file I would appreciate if he/she can post it here. If your solution will help me restore my wallet.dat and I regein my access to my coins, I will be more than happy to give you 150 000 dogecoins as a reward.
