If you have downloaded a bunch of bitcoin/altcoin software I would start by reformatting the HD. Many such programs have keyloggers and other malware.
Anyway, I like a cold storage wallet, like a paper wallet, for real money. And a spending wallet on my phone for small balances.

Yeah I avoid altcoins for this reason.  I'd rather risk keeping altcoins online than downloading a suspect client and losing real coins.

I have a ton of wallets when I started. Was kinda fun sending money too and from different wallets. But then, the more wallets you own, you're more likely to lose some coins someplace.  So...  now I use paper wallet (encrypted key), Electrum, and Blockchain.info as a hot spending wallet.

I think he is talking about different altcoin wallets.

On Windows there's this scheduler application IIRC. Set it to sync one wallet from 1 to 2 PM, the next one from 2 to 3 etc. Not sure if that scheduler app also handles the closing of programs, though.

Hello Fellow Bitcoin Forum Readers...

How do you folks organize your wallets? I just started with a bitcoin wallet and I find myself downloading a few wallets a week...from bottlecap to titties and barbq...lol

Anyways....

I cannot imagine loading up that many items in my "start-up folder" on my Windows XP machine. But I never update them when they are parked in my folder on the desktop titled wallets. So everytime I open one up it is like a box of chocolates as I do not know how long it will take to synch up...oh gawd...those config files...deleting folders and restarting....sheesh I do not want to go there....getting off topic!

to continue...

I do not really know how many wallets my HP Pavillion dual core (thats right it is still running lol) can have open simultaneously...and how do I automate the updating of these wallets?
