it may not be the best idea to do it in such a hot climate

If only you do not have a huge refrigerator and free electricity
Bitmain opening first mining in USA in Texas thought I would point that out.

Passive cooling and channeling does wonders. I was already doing this and temperature has not really been a problem for me.

What kind of passive cooling do you use? and what do you mean by channels? When you say temperature is not a problem, are you saying your cooling system has actually made the electricity bill not significantly affected by the cooling portion? I'm interested in mining in Texas, what kind of building do you suggest? Is it cheaper to buy land and build a barebones warehouse?

Texas is fine , do you guys think we live in wooden shacks while we tend our cattle?.  Just remember IBM, Apple, Dell, Texas Instruments and more run computing in masses. Not to mention the farms we already have in Houston/Dallas area!
