For such a small amount, I would either try someone on this forum and use escrow, or try localbitcoins. If that doesn't work, see if you can do a group buy with a couple of friends.

If you're not concerned about anonymity then Circle is really good. I use them to buy bitcoin. I have to warn you, my bank actually questioned what I was doing after I bought and sold a few times--but that could just be my bank. Coinbase was suggested, and they're pretty good too but last I used them you had to wait like 5 days to get your bitcoin. And they nuke accounts frequently for no reason.
If you only want $10 worth of BTC message in a pm as I can do this for you right now if you like.
