you will be more helped by reading a book or searching the search site, if it is still unclear you may be able to see the video, I am not sure if chatting via telephone can provide a clear explanation

What is the point of Bitcoin anonymity, if everyone just willingly give up that privilege to every second person that are doing some obscure research project?

Create a online questionnaire and ask people to anonymously participate in that questionnaire and you will get much better results. Why would people with money, give personal information to someone they do not know about their money?

We joined this forum anonymously to learn more about Bitcoin and not to divulge our financial privacy to every Tom, Dick and Harry that claims that they are doing some research.   Roll Eyes

I’m not really sure that there is any truth to the OP anyway. No activity since the post was created and no follow-up on the replies to this thread.
I think he or she was just a noob who was trying to get attention with his or her first post on the forum
I doubt if this newbie actually had a feasible, laid down plan to the effect of whatsoever was said by them, and what further strengthens this claim is that this account was created that same day and the post made a few minutes later.

This user and this post should be so ignored

Well there are many users here that are willing to undergo through interview just PM them and try to ask for it politely and let them also understand why you are doing it then you could expect positive response for it.<…>

People are not going to take it kindly if they are PMd by someone wanting to perform a phone interview with an unknown person. What’s more, it could easily lead to the account getting banned for breach of rule 29:
<…> 29. Sending unsolicited PMs, including but not limited to advertising and flood, is not allowed. <…>

I’m not really sure that there is any truth to the OP anyway. No activity since the post was created and no follow-up on the replies to this thread.

However, if you wish to get more audience it is good to use the facebook and search for cryptocurrency groups and post your questions and let them reply in their comments.

Good luck with your research, you should leave your contact so people who are willing to take time for that interview can email or message your through other channels like telegram.

Do you have preference and qualities on those people who you want to interview?

Try to post also on the Bitcoin specific section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=1.0

Best of luck with your research
Since this is a research(project) interview I think its suits best on Project Development --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=12.0

Why don't you use the more anonymous and free Google Hangouts for the interview. If you use the video option, it will help you to see if your interviewee is veracious.

I'm researching cryptocurrency at work and am hoping to find a few folks willing to talk to me about themselves and their experience with Bitcoin. If you would be willing to chat with me via phone for an hour or less, please let me know.
Please keep in mind this is new user, so this could be risk of scamming you through "interview".
Never disclose your personal informations to people you don't know, don't tell anyone how many bitcoins you own etc.

How about conducting a survey asking specific questions, and would take far lesser time to complete. It's very unlikely to get someone on the phone for 'an hour or less'. Considering distance, phone bills and difference in time zones.

Well good luck with that. People barely participate in a written poll survey on the forum (a few dozen at most), so getting them on the phone for an hour or so is going to be a real challenge.

I don’t know what sort of research you want to do, but for a quantitative analysis you need a hell of a lot more participants that just a “few folks”. If you perform a qualitative analysis you can get away with less, but the audience you will get here responding to the phone call chat will not even make the size of a small focus group. Do let us know what you manage to achieve though for reference.

P.D. I hope this is not something like those "Microsoft service" calls but using reverse psychology.

Is this even necessary. You want to do a research on bitcoin you have access to the internet you have access to books why not make use of it. I don't see how a call to a random person would help you out not everyone here is having a good intentions you would not want to chat with the wrong person they are other ways that can help in your research
