Netcoin block value halves in 1 or 2 days. So it might double in value.

Redcoin a good coin for long term investment

Buy Bitcoin on localbitcoins and get buy any alt coin. Be careful about all this pump and dump. Buy either Novacoin or Worldcoin but I preferred Worldcoin

Having said the above, I do think merge-mined coins are the most promising long term. NMC and DVC.

Unless you are buying your altcoin on ebay(premium rate), you will most likely have to buy partial BTC to fund an account to buy Altcoins on an exchange.

I'm wary of putting anything into coins like NMC, PPC, FTC, TRC.... they have seen such huge growth recently, I'm not sure how much more to expect in the short-term prior to correcting. LTC too.

[...] what are my best options for a stable coin [...]

LTC, NMC and PPC are the most capitalized. They have a solid (yet short) past.

[...] that will raise greatly long-term? [...]

Unfortunately, no one foresees the future...  Sad

Brand new coins are extremely risky. Stay away from them.

LTC sure looks like it is heading upwards.  I only have like 10 at the moment but I might be getting more soon.
