Can you tell us what country you live in that you think the world's wars don't affect you?

I only ask that so we can provide a specific example of how you cannot ignore the world's problems.

We live in a fully connected world. It sorta blows me away that often people on the freakin internet don't seem to grasp that. But understand, for instance, that the technical connections of the internet itself is based on international cooperation. So those wars you don't seem to care about could even affect... your ability to express that you don't care about them. And that's just one of a million other examples. Chances are the device you typed that post into came for a dozen or more countries as well--and international trade is affected by wars.

There are a lot more reasons why nations are at war apart from not being a part of NATO or being situated in a particular region or whatever. For as long as I know, natural resources, marginalization, and political and regional interests have played a greater role in creating war than being part of an international organization. Somehow, it's even best to remain unattached to the kind of politics that plays out with these unions so you don't become a dumping ground during any slight case of war. Ukraine suffered for it and I'm yet to see any serious advantage that comes with being a part of NATO other than being dragged to get involved in wars and other unfriendly disputes.

As long as the world exists, wars will still be a part of our experience here cause by our nature we can't always agree with ourselves. Even after you've joined NATO or any other organizations that looked promising enough to protect you in times when you're at conflict with a neighboring nation, it doesn't stop you from having internal crises and in some cases getting marginalized in the union because you're probably a minority with no influence or positive contribution to the organization. I prefer to remain in my jurisdiction as a nation and sort out my crisis than join an international organization that will only fuel me with weapons in times of war that will lead to more destruction of lives and properties in my country.

That is not at all completely right. The globalization have made countries closer and dependable on each other over the years. Resources used in the west come from the east and vice versa. Not to mention that it is the western countries that fuel the wars between eastern countries.

There are also conflicts within a continent sometimes even in a country. Venezuela is fighting off something right now within their country.
Just turn off your television, then? It doesn't mean that just because you do not want to hear it is that it is irrelevant anymore. Saying just reeks ignorance and privilege to me.

I have an old 1966 Webster's College Dictionary. It's one of those fat ones, the kind that used to sit at the entryway of the public libraries.

This dictionary has a listing for the International Monetary Fund that shows about 150 countries signed up to it. There are about 20 countries listed that would not join. The 20 or so that would not join were places that had some of the most trouble in the world.

One of the countries that wouldn't join back then was Rwanda. Rwanda had terrible problems with death and war, etc. The question is, was it lack of IMF help? Or was it IMF caused because they wouldn't join? Seems that many countries of today think that the IMF caused the problems.

The IMF is the WEST, btw.

It only took two World Wars and millions of dead for "the west" to figure out that is better to talk things over. How many dead does it take in the middle east.. I am not sure.

Im tired of all war news btw...the middle east is far away from the world and it really doesn't affect rest of the world anyways.
And people see one time something new they lose curiousity fast ...like ukraine war people are use to with this and also tired many people don't want to hear about this anyways.
I don't read news anymore becouse i simply don't care what's going on all i read is economic news i care about mostly about money.
Time is money and i don't have time for not important things and specially some news what i got no business or i have no idea about i never been in middle East Even

In the middle East people and countries don't want to be part of Western Union.
Same problem in ukraine If they would joined eu and nato then it's like safe umbrella.
Now days If you are with Western countries together nobody cant touch you.
In middle East war Will end fast If they join all with europe and NATO.
If anyone attack Western countries people that's the priority and will be dealt immediately.
So If any countries want peace join with eu or nato it's so Simple and easy.
Becouse If you not united with Western countries then you are yourself there is no security for you Even the middle east countries want security they can join with eu it's easy.
But news talking too much about non western countries we the Western countries knows that wars never cross the borders to us and the Wars stay always there If they don't join with Western Union the Western banking western culture becouse in west we respect human life we have rules If any Western countries person touched that's big issue so If east want Same they join instantly with Western Union and NATO.
You Are in west you are in the world you not in the west you are out of the world many countries are so corrupted and no safety we in the west don't accept them as countries
Im tired of seen on  my Western country tv channels news about middle east why i should care? The east is east and west is west If they want peace they can join with Western unions and then they learn how to act like humans not some jungle rules
In the west we don't carry guns on the streets that's not how the Normal humans not behave but in the middle east people don't act like nowdays people should act.
So that's why we are tired and we don't want to hear nothing about what's going on out of the world far away they choose themselfes there to live that way nobody to blame and that's negative things we in the west don't want to see nothing negative only good life and Im tired to see my news show this bs next time i trough my tv out from the Window when i see some war news becouse i just don't care it's far away the east is east and west is west.
I hope the news stop talking about it becouse Im tired to see this not my business.
