Most of the phishing attacks could be avoided if people uses their common sense a bit.

When you are getting an advertisement says 90% offer for a well demand product means this is complete scam but in India, even the people who are educated are losing their money for such kind of scams and they even give their card details while making payment which could make your bank account to be emptied in minutes.

I have tried to make my near and dear ones more knowledgable about the problems of the internet being a big part of their lives now and that everyone should have a basic understand of cybercrime and how keep themselves safe specially since our country's cybercrime unit is lacking and we ourselves are the biggest factor who can prevent such incidents.

Few things regarding this was:
1. Checking email sender's address. Unknown address or accented letters = phishing.
2. Attempting to use the "Fear/Greed" intimidating tactic to blunt the vicitim's logic. Trust me, greed is enough to get control over any average Indian's mind and this need more work.
3. Not downloading any attachments from emails from unknown senders.
4. Bookmarking commonly visited sites and checking them first on search engines before visiting.

Its not enough, I know but basic for any user.

One should always understand the value of security , apparently Hacking is something that is a big threat to all the crypto holders and one should always take extra measures regarding the same.

Phishing is something that everyone is taught about in ethical hacking , but it is nothing but a carelessness from our sides.
